AA55 Zoom fan Dipole #AA-55-ZOOM

Cody

Good evening all. I just received my AA55 Zoom and I'm getting the hang of it. My issue is I have one coax and two dipoles a 30m and 40m on it. on my external radio meter and on my radio with no tuner I have 1:2:1. However on the AA55 it's over 50. I think the AA55 is reading both wires as one. When I tried the multi mode and adjusted the frequencies? it's about 9:1
How can I get the AA55 to see bothe dipoles.

Thank you

Dear Chris,
Most likely you are using a load that is not suitable for the test.
Can you make and show me a photo of the load?

Alex,

I tried this with three loads, one of which was connected direct to the analyser as well as with a patch lead.? The other two using a patch lead.? Here are photos of the loads used.

I'm not sure if the images will be delivered through groups.io so I am also copying this message to you, direct so support@....

With thanks and 73

Re: AA-230 Self Test Error 232

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Chris, thanks for the photo.

All these loads are not suitable. It is necessary to use a low-power load (no more than 1 watt) connected directly to the analyzer without cables and adapters.

In fact, self-tests are needed for final quality control in production.

If your analyzer, when scanning SWR in the entire range with a connected load of 50 ohms, gives a graph of about 1, then this means that the analyzer is OK.

Best regards, Alex

AA-230 Self Test Error 232

Christopher

I have a new AA-230 Zoom - two days out of the box.
When I run the Self Test from the Tools menu the analyser passes test one and test two but on test 3, with a 50 ohm load, the self test fails with error 232 and a message to pass this error code to technical support.? No other information or suggestion about who to contact.
I'd appreciate some clarity on what the code means and what I should do.
Thanks!
Chris

Printing from the AA-30.zero #windows10

When I click on "print" the app locks up until I delete the icon from the command line. I used to be able to print from the "zero," but no longer can.

Ok, thanks, that seems pretty obvious and thought I tried that. Will give it another shot.

How does one get control and ability to move the upper triangle on the AA-35 Zoom so that the readings along the curve can be read? The image is from the manual on pg. 7.

Re: AA30 ZERO sweep timing for a loop controller

Hi,
after my tests the added library overhead is negligible. Infact it does the same serial commnuication as suggested...

Furthermore the ZERO is really too slow for this application.

I think my only option is now to go back to a DDS and an swr bridge....like the initial and complicated idea...

Maybe RigExpert could you let us interact with the ZERO at? a "lower level" , maybe more efficent and faster than the current one (it is really too slow...) ?

Thanks

Re: AA-230 Zoom - measuring chokes

Changing the reference impedance on the instrument or in PC client software is a mathematical transformation. It does not change the physical directional coupler circuit or the AD conversion process.

Did? you try it? Did it make significant difference to the measurement jitter at extreme impedances?

Re: Antscope2 ....can't read saved data from AA-35

Hi Ken,

? Alex got in touch with me and we cleared up the issue with video and I was able to view it. I did not set a frequency range because I thought Antscope did that automatically based on the data I was to view, but I had clicked on "Full Range" and when I did that my data appeared properly. ?Thank you for your advice though hopefully it will help others who may have similar problems.

Thanks, ?Evan?

Hi guys.
This week we will announce time-plan for fixing the Bluetooth connectivity bugs.
And also for bugs mentioned here in this topic. Please be patient.

Re: Antscope2 ....can't read saved data from AA-35

FWIW, I can view the video no problem.

Evan, have you set an appropriate frequency range in the upper right corner?
