Follow up to my previous post; two issues.? I thought I needed the AntScope2 App on my phone, especially when I noticed the AntScope App only indicates a check box for the AA-55. Turns out the AntScope App (not version 2) worked fine with my AA-2000 (just uncheck the AA-55 box), and once I realized I had forgotten to activate the Bluetooth function on my analyzer.? Phone App works fine now.

Read through the message threads on this model. A couple of us have both documented this issue and made clear and specific recommendations to Alex of RE here in this group. No solution to date. Disappointing.

I recently purchased the RigExpert AA-2000 Zoom.? I noticed that there is a AntScope App for Android, but I can't get this App to recongize my AA-2000.? Does anyone know if there is an AntScope2 App for Android that will work with the AA-2000?

Being vision impaired, the best way for me to attempt to use an antenna analyzer is via my laptop. I have tried working with ANTSCOPE2 but can not successfully read the points on the generated plot. Most of the input fields appear to work with my screen reader but not the output plot. I can do an Export, but the information generated is not enough to make it useful. I would like a way to be able to read the Frequency and SWR plot points. Also, are there shortcut keys for navigating through the software?? Thank you very much.

Currently vision impaired, I use a screen reader to access my computer. I would like to purchase and use a Stick Pro but haven't had much success getting the software to work with a screen reader. Most of the buttons and input controls work, but I haven't been able to read the box on the screen which contains the measurements. I tried the other angle of exporting the readings to a CSV file but that gives limited information.
I can't think of any way to make an analyzer useful unless I can get it to read back as much detail as possible via my PC.
Does anyone know if the AntScope2 software can be made to work with a screen reader, or is there any software alternative which works with a RigExpert analyzer which would be more accessible?

Well, dang. ?Just received as a Christmas gift (that I specified) and discovered no BT. ?And I wanted this model ?specifically for the BT! Is there hope for these or is this a hardware issue that updating firmware won't fix.... before I go past the 'return by' date?

AA-55 Zoom Firmware Update problem.
I tried to update the firmware on my AA-55 Zoom, but RigExpert Flash Tool v1.5.14.exe failed to install the driver, and the AA-55 Zoom got stuck with a flashing display.? This is the first time I have tried to update the firmware.? I am running Windows 7 Pro.? Any help would be appreciated.

Alex, Here's my review on the DX Engineering website, the reseller where I purchased the AA-55 Zoom BT (and my Stick 230) from:

Bought my second RigExpert AA as I liked the 230 Stick. The BT feature on the more expensive AA-55 Zoom BT model was the reason. I e worked with Alex of RE on the Grouos.io support page. Updated firmware and updated Antscope 2 remote software still doesn’t fix the lack of reliable BT connectivity to AS 2. BT connection vs USB connection looses packets of data, is MUCH slower, and must have the BT Com port settings changed manually in Win 10 to even get a wireless connection. A ham in Canada who works on BT in his day job has been working with me and documents this using a BT recording with his AA-55 Zoom BT. Now, the USB connection works splendidly. But manual mode does not save the data for remote retrieval. It’s a good AA. Unless you want Bluetooth. Disappointed with RE’s lack of response to fix this feature as advertised. Could DX Engineering contact them as a reseller?

I've also noted on my podcast, ICQ Podcast (), in the What Have You Been Doing? segment of the News Roundtable, the work that Doug VE7DXK and I have been doing on the Bluetooth unreliability for the AA-55. Many hams will be purchasing (or have them on their wish list) the RE BT analyzers for Christmas. They need to be aware of the fact that bluetooth just does not work right now for that model.
I hope that by the end of January 2021, Rig Expert has a definitive solution for the problem Doug has identified and communicated such that it's either in the firmware or the hardware used by RE in the AA-55. We certainly hope that it's a firmware fix. My 230 Stick reports BT as well and there's a "new" Pro version of the Stick in the market for pre-sales. It is imperative for Rig Expert to solve these problems BEFORE hardware is placed into the market. Getting beta testers---perhaps from this listserv---is vital here. I've done them for decades on software releases but there are members here---like Doug VE7DXL---who have superior expertise on diagnosing such matters. Make use of them!

After some more search i found out that the flash tools that is available in the file section of this group it is not the latest version. the latest version seems to be available only on the rigexpert web site. I downlaed that and everything was ok. Is a pitty though that the file section in this group is not getting updated as new versions appear.

AntScope2 Version 1.1.5 was a test version for the AA-55 Zoom when transferring data over Bluetooth.? It does not reliably connect to the AA-55 in Bluetooth mode. Even after connecting it will timeout quickly and freeze/crash.? ?It is supposed to work with the newly released AA-55 firmware version 1.25 which has problems? as well.?? I suggest that AA-55 users not upgrade their firmware to v1.25 or install AntScope2 test version 1.1.5.? RigExpert has said they will fix this problem sometime in the future. Doug VE7DXK

Antscope2 v1.1.3, slight offset in marker capture from marker actual placement?
I (finally) transitioned to Antscope2 a week or so ago (when I transitioned to Windows 7 computer from my old, still working, XP computer).? ?
I do miss, a little, the old antscope1 ability to do continuous, single point, digital measurements, on screen, but, I found a workaround where I set the frequency, then, a very narrow range.? ?
One observation about single point data acquisition using the mouse position on the screen....
When I locate a precise frequency with the mouse, and, validate it with the data on the screen, then, right click and select create marker, the resultant captured data is slightly offset from where the mouse was.? ? I did this in many ways this morning.? ?So far, I cannot get the marker point to exactly line up with the mouse location listed on the screen.
Here is an example screenshot at my virus free google photos
If you look at the cursor location in the 40m band, it is very slightly offset from the resultant captured marker point in the capture window.? ?
this is very minor.? ?But, I thought I would post.
Antscope2 is very flexible and powerful.? ?Thank you.? ?

the endstops of this entry field by software to 200 and 1000 in this case ;-)

This is not a bug, this is a feature.
Using less than 200 points in the TDR mode leads to low accuracy
of the obtained measurement results.
More than 1000 points heavily load the processor. And the accuracy
of the measurement results does not increase at all significantly.
