Re: Analyzer Comparison Chart?
I upgraded from my AA-54 to an AA-600, and never regretted it... The analyzer is simply wonderful! I use it here:

Yes Rick,
?
For AntScope2 there is no need to specify the analyzer model.
Only choose the right serial port in the settings.
?
Unfortunately, at the moment I do not have access to a PC with Linux, I can not take a screenshot for you.

Re: AntScope2 with AA-230

Thanks for the quick rely Alex.
I have installed AntScope2? v1.0.17 on a Linux Mint machine. The computer recognizes when a "new" serial device is connected and assigns a port as expected.? Unfortunately, AntScope2 does not recognize that the AA-230 is connected? According to Linux a new port ttyUSB1 has been created? In previous versions of AntScope I needed to specify the analyzer model. Is this no longer required in AntScope2? I'd appreciate your thoughts.? Thanks. -- 73, Rick VE7TK |
Dear friends!
?
The information in this post will be useful for owners of the Stick230 analyzer.
We continue to complement the analyzer functionality with various modes.
And today our engineers added 4 new features to the Stick230 firmware:
- TDR. This mode allows you to show at what distance in the feeder line heterogeneity (damage) is found.
- cImp: measurement of cable impedance
- cLoss: cable loss measurement
- cLen: measurement of cable length
?
This firmware is in test mode.
I invite all owners of the Stick230 analyzer to take part in testing.
To do this, follow these steps:
- download the firmware file from this link
- download the FlashTool utility:?
- connect your analyzer to the PC
- run FlashTool and specify in the settings the update from the local file.
- indicate the path to the downloaded file with firmware
?
After a successful upgrade, new features will be available.
You can turn on the screen with new functions by briefly pressing the red square key.
The operation of all functions is intuitive. A long press of the green triangle key in the window of the selected function will bring up a screen with a hint.
?
Please write here all your questions and suggestions.
?
Sincerely, Alex Antonov UR4MCB

Hello Rick,
?
Yes, we have a version of AntScope2 for Linux. We tested this version on Ubuntu and Mint distributions.
?
AA-230 analyzer uses a FTDI chip for data exchange. Drivers for this chip are standard on any Linux distribution.
You can also download and install the driver yourself:?

I am making some major changes and will be putting AntScope on my Linux computers.?
Previously I had AntScope on a Linux machine and it took a while to get it to like ttyUSB1. I see that AntScope2 has a Linux version. Will my AA-230 run with? AntScope2 for Linux? Thanks, 73, Rick VE7TK |

Very slick! The firmware upgrade is important and once done my iPhone married up with the AA-230 Zoom FB. Glad you moved over to groups.io Alex.

Re: Meet the AntScope Application for iOS!

Hello!
?
AntScope application for iOS and Android are designed to connect analyzers with a Bluetooth module.
AA-600/1000/1400 analyzers don't have a Bluetooth module.
But! In the very near future we will release new Zoom analyzers that will replace the AA-600/1000/1400
The plans: AA-650 Zoom, AA-1500 Zoom. These analyzers have a Bluetooth module.
?
Let me remind you. The number in the analyzer name is the maximum measuring frequency.

Re: Meet the AntScope Application for iOS!

Is there any plan to make some add on to go between AA-600 and iOS ?
|
Firmware for RigExpert devices.
#firmware
Dear friends!
In the Files section of our group, we added files with all available firmware for RigExpert devices (analyzers and interfaces).
?
Please note the following information. Some files are executable and don't require the use of any third-party utilities for updating.
For other types of files, a prerequisite for a successful update of the device is the use of the FlashTool utility.
?
In the future, we will prepare and publish photo and video instructions for firmware updates for each model RigExpert analyzers and interfaces.
?
Yours faithfully,
RigExpert Crew |

Hello.
?
AA-55 Zoom Option Bluetooth analyzer is currently not supported.
iOS has some features with the work of the Bluetooth classic which is used in the AA-55 Zoom OB. |
