AA-600 Mac Studio M2 Max
I finally got my AA-600 up and running on my Mac Studio M2 Max. It did not show up in Antscope2 but showed up in System Information. I followed this to get it working. The chip set on AA-600 requerid a driver, The 1.50 driver worked since this is made for ARM cpu.

Re: AA-230 not recognized
I just updated to a new Win 11 laptop. I had been using a Linux laptop. I connected my old reliable AA-230 and, like Michael reported, it is not recognized!
Is this now "dead" with respect to the software? Can the firmware be upgraded. This was an expensive unit and it's not in my budget to replace it with a similar item. Any word from RigExpert or other users would be appreciated. Thanks! -- 73, Rick VE7TK Website:? |

Frank, Excellent information.? I didn't realize that iOS worked with any of the RE devices.? I have the AA-3000 ZOOM.? I can definitively say that it doesn't work and this was confirmed by RigExpert Ukraine.? I'm glad to hear the issue with the "Blue" devices doesn't affect the Sticks.? It was a real bummer after dropping so much hard earned $$ to realize that it didn't work as expected and advertised.?? |

Hi Brad,
Not sure what model you have...but I've used the RE Stick Pro for a year or so now with both my iPad and iPhone on whatever the current iOS version was. I think the AntScope 2 app might have updated during this period but I can't be sure.
Nonetheless, I have no problems connecting---although there is the random disconnect at times---via Bluetooth. I regularly email my sweep files (either *.ASD or *.s1p) to myself or the ham I'm helping for future reference.
I did? have a nightmare with the A-55 Zoom, Bluetooth Model. It never made any reliable connections on my OS...but I do love the Stick, especially for sweeping antennas up at the height they will live.

Unless something changed over the holiday break, iOS won¡¯t connect to the RigExpert devices. Yeah, I know there¡¯s an app, but it doesn¡¯t work. Just look at the reviews on the Apple App Store. You¡¯ll need an android device or Windows laptop capable of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) if you want to use the BT features.?

It seemed to be very stable up to about 8m (abt. 26 ft.), and a bit flaky up to about 10m (33 ft.). ? At the time I was using a Samsung Galaxy S2 tablet with ANDROID-7. I bought a new cell phone, a Google Pixel 6A, with Android 12. In the meantime I have updated to Android 13. I never tried it horizontally. Since Rick has opened this thread, I thought I would add my $.02 as well.? I've already notified RigExpert through email of continued issues with AntScope2 (including with the latest version 1.3.3) and the AA-3000 ZOOM.? The issue only applies to connections via BLE.? The USB connection works perfectly; however, when connected via BLE the AA-3000 ZOOM shows up as an AA-30 and therefore is only able to scan 0-30 MHz instead of 0-3000 MHz.? Obviously that's an issue and should be an easy fix in software (or how the AA-3000 ZOOM reports in firmware).? In the settings screen, the AA-3000 ZOOM does show up as an AA-3000 ZOOM under BLE connections, but once a connection is made, the app's banner shows AA-30 and the bandwidth drops from 3 GHz to 30 MHz. AA-650 ZOOM, firmware version 1.9 AntScope2, version 1.3.3 Computers, WIN10 Pro ? I can connect to the analyzer using either USB or Bluetooth, and everything works as it should with AntScope2, except when I select the Settings page.? ? The AntScope2 status line at the top of the window changes to "Analyzer not connected," and remains so if I switch back to the main page.? I can use the Connect function on the Settings page, but it takes me back to the main page and the process repeats.? ? I have tried two different computers with the same results.? Hi Rick, I'm happy so far with AntScope2 1.33. It's working with the AA-230 and the NanoVNA H4. The screenshot I was referring to was transferring the AA-230 screen image to AntScope2. I get the image when using USB but not when using BLE. Not very important. I can transfer data from the AA230 on USB and BLE. Thanks. -ken-
