Re: setupreantscope2-1.3.0.exe (Antscope) does not run after install on clean Windows 10; missing dll?
Rick, I do think I have the old software, however, I am running my old AA-54 on another Win 10 computer with Antscope 2.? ?I also ran the AA-54 on my old Windows 7 system with Antscope 2.? ?
Perhaps I installed something that I forgot to install now.? Let me look at the old disk.?? However, I was not trying to connect to the AA-54.? I was just running the software before I even tried to hook up the AA-54.? ?RigExpert software, as I recall, launched with or without access to the instrument.? Is that correct? Thank you.?? Mike |

setupreantscope2-1.3.0.exe (Antscope) does not run after install on clean Windows 10; missing dll?
I just migrated from an older Windows 7 System to a newer but still not very new Dell Inspiron 15 7537 laptop with freshly installed Windows 10.
All my installs, so far, (WSJTX, N1MM, DXLab suite, notepad++) have installed and run fine. So, I downloaded?setupreantscope2-1.3.0.exe from RigExpert support site and, after install, I see this message: The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found.? Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.? ?You can see the system error on the screen at this virus free google photo link: I did uninstall and re-install and, again, received the same error.? ? I own the AA-54 bought ages ago (and most of my club now owns RigExpert stuff) which is a completely awesome tool and hope to be able to get Antscope, which is equally powerful, running on my Win 10 system.? I also have another Win laptop, newer, that I installed and Antscope ran fine.? It was year ago and I don't remember which version.? If I have to I might be able to migrate that and try it.? But, I hope to get this new version running.? .? ? Any thoughts or feedback would be welcome.? ?Thank you. |

开云体育I’m less concerned about the bluetooth module (I think there’s a BLE that’s supported, but I haven’t quite looked), I have android tablets, raspberry pi, iOS, etc. It’s just what I have in the junk box. What I’m more interested in is if Antscope can connect to the virtual ports that’d be provided (I used to be a decent developer, but I’m pretty rusty, but might be able to look at the Linux source code at least). I really like the form factor and the modularity that the Zero provides. I’ll be playing with it over the next few months as the weather starts to turn to building season. Thanks for the info! It is my understanding that Apple iOS does not support the HC-05 so you would need to use a different compatible Bluetooth module.? Windows does support the HC-05 and when paired it creates a COM port.? You look for the COM port number (i.e COM6 for example) and then input that into AntScope2 and you are connected just like a wired serial link. Roger |

开云体育Sorry to resurrect an old thread, I’ve been off list for a while. Is it possible to use a serial-to-Bluetooth module (for example a DSD Tech HC-05) connected to an AA-30.Zero to get this capability? Currently I use a Zero connected to a standard serial adapter going to a raspberry pi for my field analyzer. But if I were to be able to drop the pi and adapter and use my tablet or phone for the analyzer connection that would be much simpler. I know the Zero isn’t really supported anymore, but it’s a genuinely fun platform for experimenting with. I’d also like to try even a wired connection from it to an iOS device, but I think that may have to wait.? Thanks, Dan -- . Please pardon any mispelings or errors. Firmware release descriptions AA-1500 Zoom
Jan H?ydal
HI,
Where can I find what has been changed/added/improved between the different firmware versions? There is always a risk related to flash new firmware. If the new versions does not add an sigificant improvement to my analyzer, i will not update the firmware. But then I need to have a firmware history description. Can you please help me out here? AA-3000 ZOOM - First Impressions
Let me start by saying that I've had an AA-600 for seven years, so I'm quite familiar with the form factor and general operating characteristics of the flagship "green" analyzers. Somehow my initial review of the AA-600 was erased from eham.net (I was review #1 of that analyzer), but my follow-up review is still there.? I had mentioned that they should make a rubberized cover for the device, which was never done...until now!? The AA-3000 ZOOM comes standard with a silicone cover.? This is a nice touch, even if it isn't going to be as durable as a rubberized cover.? Also, you can't get to the battery compartment with the cover on.? This is a bit of a mistake, but the cover is nice enough if not super tight fitting. The tradeoff for the silicone cover is that they no longer include the nice blue case.??
The AA-3000 ZOOM came to me from RigExpert USA with version 1.0 firmware.? Today v1.1 was released, but I can't see any difference and the info file lists 1.1 as the initial release.? So maybe they just re-released 1.0 as 1.1.? Not sure. I believe functionally its identical to that of the AA-2000 ZOOM except that range has been extended to 3GHz.? I don't think there are any other changes and the AA-2000 ZOOM has already been extensively reviewed, so I won't elaborate further. Now for the bad. Firmware versions 1.0 and 1.1 have a bug that function F + 0 freezes the analyzer and only a battery removal will reset the device.? None of the buttons work as the analyzer is frozen.? I've notified RigExpert Ukraine and RigExpert USA & Canada but haven't received any feedback on this issue. Initially I wasn't sure if the Bluetooth module worked in my AA-3000 ZOOM.? I couldn't get it to work with any external software.? I knew from reading the forums that AntScope2 didn't support BLE yet, but I had the latest AntScope for iOS which was supposed to support the AA-3000 ZOOM.? It does not.? AntScope2 for Windows and Mac is now out in a beta (v1.3.0) that partially works with the AA-3000 ZOOM.? One of the biggest failures is that AntScope2 1.3.0 recognizes the AA-3000 ZOOM, but somewhere it mistranslates it as an AA-30.? This means that it will only do an SWR scan from 100 kHz to 30 MHz.? Kind of a bummer, but I suspect that will eventually get fixed.? When connected via USB, there is no issue with scanning the full range from 100 kHz to 3 GHz, only when in Bluetooth mode. Overall I suppose I will like the AA-3000 ZOOM once I get used to the buttonolgy changes from the AA-600.? It's just as well made as the AA-600 and now I can do measurements up to 3GHz.? Once the bugs are addressed, this will be a fine bit of kit. |

Just FYI, I tried to open the new AntScope for Mac OS on my new M2 Studio with OS Ventura and although the .dmg file opens and I can save it to the desktop I get the message that the file is damaged and couldn’t be opened. Old file still works FB on Mac with Intel. Hope all is well! 73 - Dino KL?S On Aug 9, 2023, at 2:34 PM, Alex RigExpert via groups.io <support@...> wrote: |

Re: AntScope 2 on IOS still not connecting
Dear friends,
?
Currently, there is indeed an issue with the smooth functionality of AntScope for iOS. The main challenge we face is that our country is undergoing a full-scale war at the moment. We experience the realities of this every day: air raid sirens, missile attacks, and strikes from combat drones, all while being 400 kilometers away from the frontlines. It's hard to even imagine what's happening directly at the heart of the conflict. Some members of our team have been displaced, and sadly, one was tragically taken by a Russian sniper.
?
Unfortunately, we are short-staffed and lack the necessary resources to provide stable support for our software. Nevertheless, we are tracking all bugs and noting down suggestions for new features. We'll continue to progress as resources become available.
?
Thank you for being so understanding.
?
Warm regards,
Alex |
Re: AntScope 2 on IOS still not connecting
I have a brand spanking new AA-3000 that will not connect to my iPhone via Bluetooth at all.? It also won't connect to my Windows PC via BT, but it does at least connect via USB fine.? Not too happy with the poor BT support.? That's half the reason I splurged for a new analyzer.? My AA-600 works fine, but no wireless connections available.? Looks like the AA-3000 ZOOM might not have wireless either :-/

Sent: 09 August 2023 18:08 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [RigExpert Family] #antscope2 #BLE #Bluetooth ? Folks, thanks to everyone who participates in testing. ? So, a little addition. ? There is no need to connect the analyzer in advance in the Bluetooth menu of the operating system. The AntScope2 program will automatically find the analyzer. If you already have an analyzer "paired" then try deleting it. This may be important for Windows 10. For Windows 11, I did not notice any difference. ? As practice has shown, when AntScope2 is first launched and connected to the analyzer, the probability of failure will be 99%. Therefore, we close AntScope and start it again. This time the success rate is about 100%. It is not yet clear why this is happening. ? There are failures when taking a screenshot of the analyzer via the BLE. Transferring saved data from the analyzer to a PC usually works fine. ? I remind you that full support for BLE in the Windows kernel appeared only in Windows 10 later releases. Therefore, even if you are using Win 10, then it is in your version that full support for BLE may not be available. ? For macOS, we have the ability to make the program version only in .dmg If you get an error that this program cannot be launched because it was not downloaded from the App Store, then try this tip:? |
