Recommendations for a distro for low power operation with WSJT-X

Hi.? I am new to the group.
?
I am interested in putting WSJT-X on an RaspberryPi4 that I have sitting around.? I would like to use it for portable operation with a QRPLabs QMX+.? (Lovely little rig, btw).
?
Rig has internal sound card and works great with my old Win10 PC, but this thing is really built for portable operations, so I want to have something light.
I expect to have a small display, just big enough to run WSJT-X, and a miniature keyboard and mouse.
My current focus is on keeping the power usage down, but having enough horsepower to run the decoding process promptly.? RPi4 seems to fit the bill.
?
If there is a distro that is minimalistic, that would probably be best.? I expect that different distros will have bloatware that is not needed.? I would like easy control of what gets run.? I would also like to be able to add some sort of logger that I could backup ADI files to a USB drive when I am done with a session for safe keeping.? I can pick up the wsjt-x log for FT8 contacts, but this rig also does CW and in the near future SSB, so if there is a simple linux based logger, that would a nice feature.? I would expect to underclock the pi if I use it for logging without wsjt-x running.

Hi Mark
?
I have used a pi 4, with a number of the pi OS versions on wsjt-x.
?
I have a 7" touch screen that connects directly to the pi. I mounted the pi with display on a angled board on a larger board. I got a small keyboard and mouse that rest on the larger board. I can power this with a LiPo battery pack that last a long time.
?
I have a ham buddy here that uses his phone as a hot spot. He runs the pi headless and connects to it with a tablet. He also uses a lipo battery pack.
?
You do need to learn the tricks for moving the pop up windows around when using small screens.
?
Hope this helps

use Pi OS Lite - Legacy, and then install your required programs.

the third option down the page.

Check out WN4ACK`s videos. Many of us are using his 73linux to do it.

Search for? ?KM4ACK's? ?videos rather than? ?WN4ACK`s? videos.

You get better search results.
