Is this the release that came out yesterday?
Warning - it has Waylan X VNC enabled if you use raspi-config to turn on your VNC server and RealVNC cannot talk to it. Throws a security too high error.?
Changing to X11 in raspi-config seems to have no impact, even after multiple reboots or resets. Simply connection refused even though ps says the VNC server is running.?
I did not have time to wrestle with it, there might be an easy fix. Or there might not. If you need VNC, be careful.?

From the initial research I've done on Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm, I
found the detail that basically says that ONLY the Raspberry Pi 5,
4, CM4 and Pi 400 models will run Wayland for now.? All older HW
versions will stay with XF86.? I guess we'll have to try it out and
see if that's true.

If I run "sudo apt update" and upgrade, will it upgrade Bullseye to Bookworm?
--- 73's, Mike - K5MAP

It is possible to do it but there is a whole slew of
things you need to be aware of before you do an upgrade.? The core
change is that you need to manually update one apt repo
configuration files to point to the Boomworm repos and then kick
off a "distro" upgrade.? Everything you need to know is covered
here:
??
I personally never recommend OS upgrades (Linux, WIndows, Mac) as
they never go perfectly.? I also consider it a good opportunity to
start over with a fresh slate, a good time get rid of old cruft
that had accumulated over the years on the old OS, and ultimately.
an opportunity learn the NEW ways of doing things (they constantly
change).? Things like wayland, pipewire, nftables, pigpio, and
many other items.? Ultimately, the choice is yours.

No. That only upgrades any installed packages to the latest for the current Bullseye distribution you are running.
Pi foundation says that there is no in place upgrade available to Bookworm due to the major changes made.
