Audio Hats
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI don't know how discerning your ears are in terms of fidelity, etc. but this one is reliable and well in the "GOOD" class: ?? If you're willing to go into the $50-100 range, there are a lot of products but make sure you already have great to fantastic headphones first. --David KI6ZHD On 08/02/2020 02:35 PM, Clint Bradford

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThese sound cards are quite popular and thus they come in and out of stock all the time but they do come back,? I would recommend check back every week or two.? If you're not willing to wait, I have a list of other possible cards where some are also I2S-based,e tc: ?? All of these are listed to support packet radio and I have no idea how good their fidelity might be in terms of using higher end DACs, better noise filtering, etc. --David KI6ZHD On 08/03/2020 06:33 AM, Brent DeWitt

Interesting hat.? Shows out of stock on that link.? Do you know when they were last available? |
Clint - there are a bunch, I got into them a bit more when I was playing with RPi high fidelity music players.? This was a couple of years ago.?
JustBoom has a nice one that fits on the PiZero form factor.? Looks like they still make it and some audio hats for the Pi3 and presumably 4:??They may have US vendors as well as UK.? I have a nice full size hat made by IOaudio.? Can't find a URL now.? HiFiBerry was another recommended vendor:??? The Pi3/4 hats may have pads or headers to extend the remaining GPIO pins for other uses. 73 Steve KS1G |
