Mmdvm OLED display

Would this OLED display work for a MMDVM hat display? Or is the length too much & things won't display correctly? So far I've only used the. 096 size oled screens.

When in a shelter, we don't have a reliable RMS but we do have a bbs.

I don't know what the licensing terms were with Mark's PIGate code but unless someone is willing to take over it's development and it's legal/blessed to do so, it would be best to move on to some other solution. At this time, I'm not aware of any complete alternatives that did what PiGate (client) and the PiGate RMS (server).

Thanks for the responses. I wasn't specific enough about what I was trying to do, and Adam's guess was spot on. I was overthinking this and trying to use a pipe (|) and grep. Turns out it was just the simple variable assignment in Adam's first line. I think I had tried that but didn't get the syntax correct.

Eventually this script will be folded in with some other code that will be run periodically by either chron or systemd to see if VARA, rigctld, and Flrig is running on a Raspberry Pi for a BPQ HF port. Not sure exactly sure what radio we will run yet but this is the last piece of the puzzle I need to make sure things restart after a power failure. There is a generator on campus but I can't test the generator startup and Murphy likes to hang out at remote locations.

Again, thanks for responding. Now for the next challenge.

Hi Dan,

I can not get VARA HF to work on any program on my PI 5. VARA will receive ok but will shut off when commanded to Transmit. VARA did work in the past, I think a System update broke something.

As you may surmise, I know just enough about Bash to be dangerous.

Try:

Once the file is created, make it executable with:

chmod 755 check-ic7300-power.sh

Finally, try running it with:

I've got an RPi3B+ I want to set up for APRS and other fun. Ideally, I'd like to have a HAT that will take 12V power and give audio interface. I think the DRAWS HAT will do this, but I wonder what, if any, alternatives are out there. I understand the current DRAWS HAT is being discontinued, but I can find zero information its replacement. Their web page just says it's on sale pending release of updated version but says nothing of what the updated version is or when it will be available.

I know I could use a DigiRig and 12V power supply or similar combinations, but for my particular application, a HAT would work much better for me.

PiGateRMS does not depend on a specific TNC or even a TNC. It could be an audio interface like a DRA-30. Under the covers, PiGateRMS uses G8BPQ so you could change its config file to use a different TNC or audio device.
