Instructions:

Participants monitored the KPH crypto broadcast at the scheduled time and frequencies. They submitted their logged code groups in the same manner as for the RandomGram event. (It is okay to combine KPH crypto groups with previously logged RandomGram code groups.)

Any correctly copied KPH code groups you submit to RandomGram will increase your RX points total for RG Event #3; you can see those results? at /g/RandomGram/message/32

Drew,

For the KPH broadcast do you want us to send you the 5L groups we copy, or the decoded text?

Jim,

Just submit the crypto groups for RandomGram. If you decode them you should submit the decoded text on the KPH MRHS website and get a certificate.

Just so everyone knows... There is an online Enigma machine simulator there that you can use to decrypt the groups. I haven't tried using it but seems like it is not trivial. So, the certificate may be well-deserved!

Here is the MRHS webpage with all the info:

Is this Enigma Crypto broadcasting will be held regularly?

Or is this a one time event from KPH by MRHS?

Hiro-san,

I believe this was the 2nd KPH Crypto event. I don't know for sure, but I think they will probably do it again.

TNX, Drew-san.

It is a very interesting activity to me that historical broadcast stations transmit ancient cryptography codes for amateur radio listeners.

My home is near to JCS CHOSHI Telegraph Station which is the first telegraph commercial service station founded in 1908.

The station is no longer transmitting but just only displayed some old radios and straight keys at museum corner.

I begin to feel like to revive its transmission through the RandomGram activity.

Drew-san,

Is the file holder of RandomGram groups.io can be accessed by non-members of the ML?

If yes, I would like to share the mp3 file with A1CLUB members.

Hiro-san,? No, only group subscribers can access files and photos. However, feel free to download the mp3 file and share it as you like.

Thanks, Drew-san.

I'll do so.
