Five letter groups just like the traditional way of doing things.

The alphanumeric certainly required a bit more attention to the list and to the keying. ?I enjoyed it. ?Next time, I'm going to manually stroke the zeros on my list so they stand out a bit more. ? On a side note, I had a few non-members respond to my CQ's. ?They must think our exchange a bit odd.

For printing slashed zeros see the other recent thread topic. (I would definitely not trust myself to send the correct character without the slashed zeros.)

I post the upcoming events in the QRZ contest forum but the overwhelming majority of participants remain SKCC. If anyone asks you about "CQ RG" you can refer them to the AF2Z QRZ page; or, just tell them "RandomGram" -- it now comes up at the top of search results (at least in the Duck Duck Go search results).

Another consideration... The alpha-numeric groups are more of a sending challenge in the 10 & 25-group events because you don't have the option of skipping the difficult ones as you do in the unlimited groups events; at least if you want to get into the top TX score tier.
