My RG Log
Thought I'd post my low-tech RG logging setup (see image attached)...
I pre-print my TX list then cross off each code group after transmitting it. I write the group I copy from the other op next to my transmitted group and scribble SWL intercept groups on the empty part of the sheet. After the event I type all of the copied groups into an email text. 73, Drew/AF2Z - |

Yea nice set up.... Now let's talk about something more important.... Tell us about that key? When did you find it? Where did you find it? And finally, my address is good on QRZ Uncle Drew... Christmas is right around the corner.? Ed W4EMB/P (sent from my phone)

I got the Bunnell Model W sideswiper on ebay a couple of years ago. Haven't seen any there in recent months. When there are they usually go for quite a few bux. It's my favorite key but not everyone has a similar opinion of them. I admit, it did take a while to get used to. But the key and I have arrived at a mutual understanding, haha... Maybe somebody who has one collecting dust on the shelf would be willing to part with it, but mine has a busy season ahead. 73, Drew/AF2Z On 12/02/23 14:14, Ed W4EMB via groups.io wrote: Drew, |

I also print off my 5L groups, and cross them off as I go.? I write down call signs on a separate sheet of paper, to keep track of who is on.? I also print out the list of folks who signed up for a particular event.
As for 5L groups copied, one per line in note pad -- I don't trust my handwriting. 73, Jim KK0U |
I use a spiral bound notebook as the initial log. I write down call signs when convenient or having trouble decoding. Later, because this RG doesn¡¯t require callsigns or SKCC numbers, I add these qsos into SKCCLogger as an ¡°A¡± call sign then ¡°Tab¡± then ?¡°F5¡± then enter the 5L group then hit ¡°Enter¡±. This gives me a log of all groups decoded as the Comment: field. ?Then I send it on to Drew as an .adi file. ?Works for me as I send left handed and write right handed.? |
I wrote a program that simulates writing down a callsign then a RandomGram code. After using the RandomGram code once a program routine deletes that RandomGram code. Jim Kilby KG?RD
