In the 1950s, cull lemons for juice processing were shipped in iced reefers, using bins inside for the fruit, according to Bruce Jones, who was a relief agent at Oxnard for a while. He said the lemons came from Goleta. He couldn¡¯t recall where the lemons were going, maybe to that Anaheim plant.
