The "New" RUFUS

I noticed that Amazon has produced their own "artificial Intelligence" (AI) creation called "RUFUS". I can't help but wonder if Parnelli Jones trademarked and copyrighted his legal name for business purposes a long time ago. If so his family should be in a great position now.

I'd be pretty sure it would be too common to copyright, even in a narrow context.

?

I got directly involved in the "Scarab" issue when Chris Custer registered the copyright for auto use, as Reventlow never had. Then he took action against three other copyists who sought to use the name, and it became an expensive legal wrangle, with only lawyers coming out ahead ... and they were in no hurry to bring it to resolution.

?

Had to do research on the Lexus/Lexis conflict and the Beretta/Berretta wrangle ... both too expensive for those without millions to waste on lawyer's kids' college funds ... as Chris learned!

?

Registering is easy ... defending is a swamp!!!

?
