I have a working ma 988 racal loudspeaker I use it on my prm 4031
works great, I need a extra one for spare parts mostly for a 2nd one
I am working on .I need the 50 ohm speaker mostly, please reply if
you have one. I have the board and wiring on paper if anyone need
this for a project , could save some time as I never could find a
wiring diagram of the ma 988. just gave up after months of looking
and with replys from people wanting fees for looking for something
they didnt have got to be a really bad nightmare so I made my own
diagram of the ma 988 speaker. Seem like there are a lot of people
out there making money and over charging us in our hobby, any

Glad to hear that you're having some success! What are
the details of that speaker? Presumably they have
waterproof mylar cones? Here in the UK, Maplin
Electronics list a number of speakers with mylar cones
in various sizes, all (from memory) with square frames
and a fixing hole in each corner.

the problem I have been having is finding a 50 ohm speaker here in
the US , I have look all over the place . I will try to upload the
speaker plans to this web site later , I have a MA-4988 speaker and
I have no ideal what that fits , The audio plug looks like my plug
but it willnt fit and the pin wiring is really strange too , it pull
over 2 amp which is too much for the prm 4031. the ma 988 has a pull
of just .2 amp just right for the battery pack and when I use the
PTT the audio is shutoff so there is no feedback, by using a
grounded pin on the audio that has power 8.50 volts until the PTT is
used and is grounded to a zero voltage state--- In Racal-
