Hi Dave, I think you are correct. It is a Racal base for the TRA921/931/906 etc. It works just fine for HF. The A40/41 base is threaded so it is not correct for that radio. Tom Bryan N3AJA

HI-G makes an equivalent. However, I bet if you drill a hole in the side and squirt a little Cramolin in there, they will clean right up. --scott

Philip you need to ask on the VMARS group a few of the members have done the mod, my VRC321/322 has had the mod done by Colin G4DDI & it works very well. The 322 dose take a little time to tune up
