Hi Stuart,
I saw that I might have to rig up an adaptor.
Has anyone tried to power it with 24v via the battery socket? I have the power adaptors but would like some confirmation it won't break the

Racal Panther 10pin to Clansman 2pin 24v
Good afternoon,
Does anyone have a source of a Racal 10 pin (radio rear socket) to a 2pin Clansman style power input. To power the radio with 24v in the vehicle clip in mode.
Best regards
Mark

Re: Yeoman VIU3901
Quite likely given it's age, not too many tantalums inside though, the transceiver itself can be fussy to start up being a mega complicated trials system hence the idea of a test jig, I will have a

I have not worked on the VIU, but usually when devices are in that restarting

Yeoman VIU3901
Hi group
I have a Yeoman VIU3901 which has a startup issue. The transceiver (TRA3900) does not always start when connected to the VIU, the VIU also continuously power cycles if the transceiver is

Racal Control Knob
Does anyone have in their parts box a skirted / fluted knob similar to the one in the picture?
The skirt is about 1” or 25mm diameter and the centre hole will be about 3mm diameter. I think there

Re: WANTED RACAL TA940B 100 WATT HF LINEAR AMP.
Hi Terry
I'm not sure if our club does advertise its sales as you describe but it sounds like a good idea and I will put it to the secretary. They hold two a year and are advertised on the web

Re: WANTED RACAL TA940B 100 WATT HF LINEAR AMP.
Hi Terry
Thanks for the TA940B dope. Nice piece of kit. 100W PEP 100% duty cycle.
The MA 79 delivers 100mW into 75 ohms. The TA940B requires 5W PEP input+- 3 dB into 50 ohms so at least 2.5W PEP.

Re: Question on RA1779 Sensitivity
Peter,
The RA1779 should be more sensitive than the RA6790 and it is normal for the receiver to be more sensitive in the WB position (less loss in WB mode).
I would start by looking closely at the RF
