Well in realaity, I think we all do!

The Larkspur a40/A41 flexible thing does fit and therefore the whip that goes with it fits the flexible, so there is an alternative available.

Yeah, missed out on first one, got the second on a second chance offer but should have bought the third at half price! Never mind, I have had the BCC39B for at least seven years, probably longer, and this is the first time I have seen the VIU come up for sale. Is brand new but I had trouble fitting the radio to it. Broke one of the mounts on the VIU trying to do up the spring clip then realised it had a block on top of the heatsink that was stopping the radio fitting properly. Took that off an all fine but now need to find out what some of the settings are and find a power connector.

As for mounting it, I will have a close look at how PA5TJ did it ( <>) and see if I can make one too.

The PSU and Amp (I assume both are in it) that has switches for HP and Boost plus connections for Audio, Harness and ATU.

Hi Group,

I'm looking for a pack for a PRM 4790 Syncal 2000 unit. Any idea if that unit's chassis is compatible with packs from other systems, or am I going to be stuck with finding a soft bag that it fits in?

Was that one I saw on e pay, and I take it it's working, all you have to do now is find a way of attaching to vehicle, the rails or runners as some call them, I could never find, I have 4 Panther 'H' in vehicle format, one in manpack role, one of the vehicle ones comes up, synth out of lock, must strip it down one day, I did that with three non working syncal 2000's, changed boards from one to another, after 10 min's, all working, whoopee!

Yes, I saw the schematic in the manual but was looking for the diagram for inside the handset, switch etc. I rewired mine so that I can get it to ptt but no modulation. Must be more to it than rewiring. ?Thanks to all for quick help.

Operating from Bletchley park this coming weekend with VMARS and others, find us on 3.615Khz Amp Mod, also Sideband on occasions, LSB at 19.30hrs local Friday eve, sat morn AM net 08.30hrs local, listen for M0VMW Society Callsign!

Also using 5 mhz listening 5.398.5Mhz

351 Frequency thumbwheel required?

Hi Folks, I have a 351 with a broken frequency selector thumbwheel cracked, does anyone have a spare? And can anyone tell me how to correctly remove/replace it as I don't want to damage it?
