Hi Stuart the TA940 amp was originally used with a manual ATU which was approx the same size as the TA940 and mounted in frame unit made of steel box section painted black. Regards Bob Finch

Re: prc-319 DMU question

Thanks for that info Alain. I will add a note to that effect on the PRC319 group.

Do the DMHDs come up for sale often? I guess it is more likely now that the Clansman gear is being cleared out...

Hope it help.

Hi

I think you will find that you need the same hardware each end, i.e. a
DMHD at each end. I have no info but I suspect the DMHD is not
compatible with the EMU.

If you are interested in the PRC 319 you may wish to join the PRC319
yahoo group as there are a few files there with good info including user
handbooks and FAQs.

Hi JC

Do you mean the DMU or DMHD (Data Message Handling Device) which connects to Audio 2 and uses X Mode?

It may be helpful to know they are used on the A13 and A14 military radio - may be others, but I dont recall!

Looking for a couple of the miniature BNC plugs, 90 degree type, ie
cable comes in from the side rather then inline with the plug.
If anyone has such spare, or knows of a supplier please let me know by
direct email.
Thanks, Ben.
