ENDGAME- Talkback #2 ??? 5
Hi All MikeM was wondering if you would all want to do a second talkback. Sallie says we have about 60 reservations for the Saturday performance, so I am proposing this for after our final performance on Saturday, 9-9:30pm-ish. Again stage sound could be left on, we would need the wireless mic. I will try to remember to turn the stage work lights on this time, so stage lights could be turned off. Your thoughts? Actors/Directors particularly…are you willing to stay? Thanks Beth PS reservations for Friday are around 40.

ENDGAME - Opening Night!!! & Sunday Reminder 6
Good Morning All, What a fantastic Opening Night! From where I sat, everything went spectacularly well! My thanks to all of you for your hard work, diligence, patience and dedication in achieving a very successful show! It sounded like the audience was wonderfully engaged throughout! Now that we've arrived here, we only have 3 more shows to go ?? Enjoy your day off, rest and recover. Tomorrow (Sunday 9/29) is our next performance. The performance is scheduled to begin at 3:00pm and actor call time is 1:30. Mark Cooley is planning to video this performance. Remember there will be a Talk Back with the audience following this performance. I understand the plan is for the actors to remain on stage following the curtain call. I will provide 5 (?) chairs to use on-stage (MikeM, Hugh, MikeK, Sallie, and Andy. Should anyone else be included?). We have a wireless mic that can be used in the audience...do I have a volunteer to help with this? Ron - stage lights can be turned off and we'll use the work lights. Jeff - please leave stage sound on and I can turn the board off when we are through. If there is anything else to consider, please let me know. Enjoy your day of rest and maybe a bit of sun! ENDGAME - Strike Set 6
Hi All, While we haven't even begun performances, I'd like to schedule a time to strike the set. Patty plans to begin rehearsals in the Theatre on the Tuesday after our final performance, so it would be neighborly of us to provide her a clean set by then. Our final performance is on Saturday night; Sunday we are planning a cast party, so I recommend we strike the set on Monday....perhaps 10am? Please let me know if you are available to help on Monday 10/7 at 10am. We will need to disassemble several pieces, transport some items to Flatwood, possibly a trip to Yogi's barn, and remove all remaining costumes and props to the old Theatre. Pickup trucks will be helpful, as well as tools like screwdrivers and hammers. Thanks Beth

ENDGAME- more info for Hell Week 5
Hi All There have been a few changes , so here is where I believe we are as of today. The show runs 90 min. We will do a full run through (with tech as noted below) each rehearsal, so to finish on time we must begin by 30 min into the scheduled rehearsal start time. (e.g. for a 4pm rehearsal, we must begin the run through by 4:30) We will do our best to end at the scheduled time. I will ask for everyone’s patience and support as we try to finish at the planned time, knowing that we may need to go a bit long. Actors: we are asking for costumes, makeup, and hair for each rehearsal until you are given the ok by MikeM that your character is good. To allow us to start on time, those of you who need to address all of these parts need to come early. I recommend at least 30 min early …talk to Pat and / or Diane if you want details. Pat and Diane, please based your efforts on Clov arriving last. Saturday 4-6pm. Tech focus - lighting. Stage mics will be on. Costumes, makeup and sound are not being worked. Sunday 4-6pm: Full tech. (This will be the best day for any extra work on costume and makeup with Clov, so if extra time would be helpful let’s discuss …in a separate email. ) Monday - NO REHEARSAL Tuesday 7-9pm: Full tech Wednesday 7-9pm: Full tech Thursday, DRESS REHEARSAL. 4:45 call for actors; get your makeup done immediately. Performance start at 7pm. Please invite friends, family, people on the street. We would like an audience. And it’s a free show!!!! ? Friday, OPENING NIGHT, show starts at 7:30pm. Actors base your arrival time on what you need to prepare AND what Pat and Diane ask of you. I will plan to have the Theatre open by 5:30pm. Sunday PERFORMANCE begins at 3pm. Actors base your arrival time on what you need to prepare AND what Pat and Diane ask of you. I will plan to have the Theatre open by 1pm. Sunday- TALK BACK with actors following the performance. Let me know of any further questions or needs. Thanks Beth

Fw: Failure Notice
email forwarded from Hugh… ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Hugh Hill <legmed@...> Date: Wed, Sep 18, 2024 at 11:24 AM Subject: Fw: Failure Notice To: Beth Plentovich <ebplen@...> ---------- Forwarded message ---------- I also showed a Sunday 4-6 rehearsal. Nicht wahr? Yes, we have one. This is in the note. Will there be someone on the sound board? Can they not keep mics off till screen is up? Yes, Jeff will work this. I don't have pants yet. Hoping Diane can come up with something You have dress at 7p. Mike confirmed for me that perf times are 7:30. Don't know if this matters. A better night's sleep before opening seems well. Correct, dress rehearsal will begin at 7pm and performances at 7:30. For the talk back, do we want to have 4 foldup chairs from green room brought onstage? Mike M, can you please moderate and choose questioners and even assign answerers if necessary? (And yes, I reserve the right to make changes ;-) SCHEDULE: · Sat 9/21, Sun 9/22: 4-6pm · Mon 9/23, Tues 9/24, Wed 9/25: 7-9pm · DRESS REHEARSAL Thurs 9/26: Call time 5pm (?) for a 7pm performance COMP TICKETS: Everyone gets 2 comp tickets. If you have questions, please see Sallie. TOP OF SHOW: We are continuing to try using the movie screen to block the audience view before the start. The movie screen will be down once I get to the Theatre, so please use the green room door to come in or be VERY CAREFUL walking around the screen. Once the audience is seated and we are ready to begin, house and stage lights will be down, the actors can enter SR from the green room and get into position. Diane or Clov can help cover Hamm in his chair. After all of you have come on stage, lights and sound will come on, so you will need to be QUIET once you come on stage. Mike will then give his Welcome, exit, and lights will go off. The screen will go up as Mike exits. Actors must be in place and motionless at this time. Once the screen is up, Ron will give a brief pause and then bring the stage lights up for the show to begin. SOUND: Remember that the overhead mics are very sensitive, so backstage, offstage, and inside the crate noise can and will be picked up and shared with the audience. MAKEUP: Pat will be working with you on makeup until Mike says ok. Once he’s good with the effect, then makeup will not be needed again until Dress Rehearsal. COSTUMES/HAIR: · Nagg and Nell - you are fine, unless you have questions · Hamm – please wear your full costume on Saturday. We aren’t sure we’ve seen the full costume. · Cov – Diane will be there starting on Saturday to finalize costume plans and help with backstage changes. If you need help with your hair, please talk to Stephanie. PROPS: While I will have tried to ensure all your props are where you are expecting them, it is each actor’s responsibility to make sure your props are where and how you want them. If you need to come on stage to check these, please do this so the audience does not see you in costume. CURTAIN CALL: Still in work TALK BACK: After the Sunday matinee only, we will offer a Talk Back with the audience. You will remain onstage after the performance for this. We can use the stage work lights, so Ron can turn off the stage lights.. Jeff, I can turn off the stage sound when this is over. RECEIPTS: Many of you have purchased items for the show. Please send me your receipts for reimbursement. If you normally send these receipts directly to Sallie, do NOT send them to me also. SET STRIKE: TBD. Please be sure to take all your personal belongings with you at the close of our final show. CAST PARTY: With our final show being an evening performance on Saturday, we are thinking that it might be easier to have a gathering at Mike’s house on Sunday, Oct. 6

ENDGAME - Sunday Rehearsal 2-4pm 4
Hi All, We have a full run-through tomorrow. We would like to begin as close to 2pm as possible. We plan to go through the show without stopping for comments. Sam has delivered the packing crate, so Andy and Sallie you should give yourself time to set up the padding and stools for your bin. The wall cutout will not be available to you yet, so you can exit down the stairs as you need. If there are any modifications you need, this is the time to identify them; I hope Ron will have time to fasten these to the stage next week. Makeup - Pat will be there to apply makeup for any and all of you; if you could arrive by 1:30 that would be helpful. It would also be helpful for you to wear your costume so we can see the effect. There will be rehearsals again on Tuesday and Wednesday from 7-9pm. Hell Week begins on Saturday!!! We are almost at opening night and you are all doing great! Thanks for all the hard work. Beth

Sept 12 Photos & Videos
Hello all- Here are a dozen or so photos from Thursday’s rehearsal. There are two videos. The first video is most of the straight run through. The second video named Hamm Unseated is a video of the run through of lines with Hamm wandering around the stage (because sitting in a chair for 70+ minutes is sometimes hard on the body). The mood was much lighter because of some improvisation but, at the same time resulted in some interesting new inflections and emotions that might be carried into the play (Mike M might differ with me on that point). A enjoyable experience. I hope that these may be useful to you. 2024-09-12 Endgame Rehearsal dropbox.com Raymond Boc

On Sunday 9/8, prior to the 3pm rehearsal (2:30-ish), we will need to move everything back to the Theatre. If you, friends, or family are available to help with this process on either &/or both days, please join us. Thanks Beth

Comp tickets for Endgame cast and crew
Hello everyone, As in the past, we're offering 2 comp tickets to each cast and crew member for the performances of Endgame. To use a comp, folks will need tickets for a specific show, which can be "purchased" through raac.org. When you select the show you want to see, then select the "cast member" option which will give you a ticket but you will not have to pay anything. Let me know if you have any questions. One exception...I expect to be in the green room for prompting. While prompting, I don't believe I'll be able to wear a mask so please keep your distance or give me a chance to mask before you come near me. Prompting thoughts...There is a strong possibility that I will be prompting the performances from the green room. This puts an extra burden on anyone who will be in or passing through the green room. I will be focused on the script, so please do not expect me to answer questions or interact with you. I will also need quiet. If you expect to be in the green room during performances, please think about how this will impact you and we can discuss possible adjustments. As to September's rehearsal schedule, I've attached an updated sheet which I will also post on the blog site. We cancelled several weekday rehearsals while MikeK is away and added rehearsals on 9/11-9/14 for Hamm & Clov. If I've overlooked information you've provided on your availability, this is the time to update me. Note that the Sunday 9/1 rehearsal is now scheduled for 11-1. Rehearsals the week of 9/8-9/14: Darcy and Ron will be hard at work pulling the final set together, so we may need to make adjustments on where we rehearse or what we can do when on stage. Please bear with me as we navigate getting everything done. I hope everyone stays healthy for our last month together! Thanks Beth
