Where Now?

Dear Jim Liptrot and Chris Noble,

I have not been following this news about Yahoo disallowing uploads and deleting historic postings. ?I see that there are various suggestions about continuing. ? Do you know what proposals there are from Iain McDonald, Chris Noble and the other leaders of the group ? ? What would be the most important historic postings to save or transfer to a new group ?
?
Much of the group discussion is too technical for me to understand but I do follow the general trend especially the periodic overview explanations from Iain McDonald and would be reluctant to lose contact. ?

Kind regards, ? Peter Latham.?

Hello S6881 Group!
This is my third attempt to post this message - apparently the Yahoo
Groups website is no longer accepting reply or original messages?

Anyway, we need to decide what to do now that Yahoo Groups is closing
down to an email list. And all of our Files, Photos, and Conversations
will disappear on December 14.

I can post the 5 files on my website, and give you all the link. But
they are all over a year old, with nothing from the Y-700 testing.

This was such an active and informative group when we first branched off
from the "Warburton One Name Project" 3 years ago.

Have we lost Iain's fine insights on the age of our SNPs? Is there any
more to share? Any more side-branches to add to the tree? Is FTDNA
closed down, so that there is no more to learn? (rhetorical question)

Where do we go from here?
