Okay, guys. I don't know if you noticed on the U106 board but Iain is asking for us to upload our updated VCF files from our BigY tests to the new Data Warehouse they have put together. This is only for people who have taken the BigY and received their results. I know some people just bought tests at the sale and don't have results yet and some people have only done STR testing or SNP Pack tests. So we're really talking about all of us who have had our BigY results back for a while and have now been updated to the new reference sequence (hg38 from Hg19). I have put together step by step directions of how to do this (with pictures too!) and it shouldn't be too difficult. I will add it to the Files section of our group. But if you find it is confusing or too technical reach out to me for help. We need all of our information back on the new U106 spreadsheet so Iain and the other U106 admins can continue their wonderful work for us. This means you might need to help your closest match so they make sure to get their data out there too. We will also have an added benefit that in time we will show correctly on Alex Williamson's Big Y Tree (used mostly now for the P312 groups) and those P312 groups will get the advantage of Iain's time estimations. We are brother clades and at one time shared a common ancestor so they are just taking the best pieces from each group and putting them all together. Good to hear from you. For some reason I cannot get the U106 digest emails. They just stopped arriving mid November. Grrr. Can’t figure it out. I’ll log on tonight to read your directions and see if I can do it. Feeling pretty incompetent since I can’t get the emails. Yikes.?

I did all that was instructed, I downloaded Keith's file and filled out the form at your link twice now.? I keep getting "Unable to Reach site" error.
Are folks having trouble with that or is there something wrong perhaps on my end. The message told me to check the network etc. It appears to be okay, I'm kind of at a loss to know how to check further.??
If they aren't having trouble and it's on my end, I'll be glad to submit the file to you to upload and I'll give you the info you need.
Also just wondering if Keith's nearest match John J Graves gets messages from this group. Cynthia Sexton, you might know.? I am in contact with him and can ask him if anyone knows if I need to.

? I did see some talk this morning on one of the groups I belong to that someone was having trouble getting their data uploaded. On the other hand, I just did both of the Trapp/Liptrap files with no problem so if you are still having issues send me your info and link and I'll upload it for you. As for John Graves, he said he didn't want to be part of the group so someone is going to have to contact him to get the file from him. If you are in contact with him why don't you ask him? Let me know if I can be of help.
