If possible under all antenna installations, put the antenna in position and sweep the bands. ?Plot SWR V.S. Frequency on graph paper. ?The bottom of the "U" in the plot is the center of the design as installed. ?Use the equation for cutting the length of ?an antenna to find the length the antenna thinks it is. ?Comparing this to what you actually cut as the center. ?That will give the amount of correction in length needed. ?I have found that this gives the correct length every time. ?Only one cut for each band will be needed. ?Don need to keep cutting to find the correct length. ?If you need more help call me any time (480) 319-9423.

I have heard a couple of questions about the digital frequencies
and whats on different portions of 40M.

Thanks for the feedback. Im aware that the voltage is "High" at the ends of the dipole, but not exactly sure what "High" means in terms of being in proximity to possible paths to ground. The roof is traditional shingle, and the nearest electrical conduit is approx 4 ft away from the center of the rafters, so im assuming that is far enough to not cause any arcing or other issues. Im also assuming that I don't need to worry about lightning being that the dipole is just below the roof line. If that is incorrect, please let me know. Im not familiar with lightning protection or how to implement it inside the roof. Ron KJ7MSB

The Town's Recreation Services Division has requested volunteers from QCECG to assist with directions and communications to the public (5), roaming support for event leadership (2, see note below), and logistics support at the Egg Hunt area (2).
Event date is?Saturday, March 28, 2020.
Event time is?9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Volunteers will be needed from?8:15 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

A total of 9-13 volunteers will be needed.? Nine (9) will come from QCECG and four (4) from CERT.

You are very welcome. I must add that CHIRP does indeed set all setting correctly. I have used CHIRP to program my radios, the radios we use for Queen Creek Emergency Communications Group, and for about 50 or so members' radios. There was a glitch in your case. Unusual things happen with CHIRP if you don't start with a saved copy of your original downloaded radio content (some refer to it as the codeplug). The correct process is to download your radio's content and save that file, make a copy, and enter your frequency map into that file copy. They seem ok but you are probably not going to fire up those two repeaters in Phoenix.
Lets work one issue at a time.
You don't see the contents of your memory location menus on the radio, you can only see VFO setting for the menus of the band you are on.
In VFO mode (440 Mhz band), program in the frequency I said before - 449.325 and enter the following in the Menus...
Number 1 -5k
Number 7 -OFF
Number 10 -OFF
Number 11 -OFF
Number 12 -OFF
Number 13 -100.0 Hz
Number 25 - (-)
Number 26 -005.000
Now, when you transmit the display will change from 449.325 to 444.325.
