Re: Looking for an ARC that would fit for me
Good day, Jon - Thanks for reaching out to our Club.? We are an informal club, i.e. we are virtual, we meet during the monthly meetings of the Queen Creek Emergency Communications Group and we don't collect dues.? Our main objective is to inform the local ham community about local ham events and all things related to ham radio.? Additionally, our secondary objective is to provide the resources necessary for interested parties to use in preparation for FCC amateur radio testing. It sounds like you are in search of a formal club, I recommend the Superstition Amateur Radio Club (SARC) in Mesa: ? That club is very popular and very active.?? However, the Chandler Ham Radio Club (CHRC) is a very good club as well.? They have grown into a very well respected Group.? You might also be interest in Chandler Amateur Radio Society (Chandler ARS), an off shoot of CHRC.? They have weekly gatherings known as BE-HIP, hams-in-the-park.? You can join their email distribution group here: /g/chandler-ars. I hope you find this information useful.? If you would like to be active with our club, please join us at our next QCECG/QCARC meeting in July.? Information on meeting times and locations can be found here: ? In the meantime, I'll send to you an invitation to our Queen Creek Hams email distribution Group and please join our East Valley Amateur Radio Facebook Group if you are active on FB: ? Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
