I guess I was too late to the party and didn't receive any 'notes' from new members (assuming you mean initial posts).? Looking forward to this group as I'm new to QTR.? I have demoed it for several weeks now and plan to send my 'shareware' amount to Roy today.?

Welcome to the first members.

But somehow I have already goofed up and when I approved the memberships (was the
default requirement) I goofed and the notes that came with the new members
disappeared, before I read them of course since I figured approval was more important.

Would appreciate a reposting by you all.

Sorry

I just checked the QTR forum--see that there are 7 members, only 2 posts.? I do hope that there will be some activity here as there seem to be a number of new QTR users.? I"ve even set up my QTR folder for posts to be moved there when dled? *smile.

Diane, thanks for setting this up!

Everybody should visit Diane's gallery: www.base.com/picnic

Lots of well-seen, non-trivial work

Diane, I like the quietest stuff best...your "product photos" of
ceramics are the quietest of the lot, but that kind of minimalist
photography can be very rewarding...as you've shown.

Your "monochromes" not only record objects and places from another
era, they look like they were taken in another era.

I didn't-----this is Scott Graham's?doing *smile*.??? I had made a comment about the fact that it would be nice to have good info about QTR in the B/W file forum--in fact, suggested a post by Lou Dina which I had found in a search and had copied for my own use---but then Scott took the ball and ran with it and set all this up.? Hope we have some good activity on the group.
?
If you missed his initial post on digital b/w here it is.?
?
"What would be even better would be a subgroup, like a sub folder or sub directory, but I
don't know that that is possible in Yahoo groups,

so a new group is starting strictly focused on QTR.?

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/QuadtoneRIP

The intent of course is QTR related posts, but we will also offer an instruction manual
eventually and whatever else seems reasonable.? Will also depend on what resources we
can attract, and donations (of files: hints, tips, etc).

Hopefully non QTR related items will continue to post here because this is a great group.?
As a matter of fact non QTR items will be "moderated out" with a link to here.

I am in discussion with Roy Harrington about how much or how little involvement he will
have time for/be interested in.? I would hate to distract him from further technical
upgrades to the RIP.

The group will start slowly if only because I am in the midst of a cross country drive.?
Come join "us"; it is lonely l over here? :)

Suggestions are welcome: like maybe "don't bug us with another darn group, or..."? or "it's
crass to post this on someone else'sgroup" (I am sort of bothered by that)

Scott Graham"
?
Thanks very much for your nice comments about my gallery.?
