Registration Marks With PrintTool

Can anyone here tell me if there is a way to print registration marks directly from PrintTool? I can do it from the Epson driver but I am not seeing a way to do this with PrintTool.

As Greg pointed out you can add registration marks via PS onto your image file by increasing the canvas (and depending upon your process also print UV blocking “strips” around the image perimeter to hide brush marks).? You could also create a separate “registration image” file and place it, along with your image file within Print Tool.

Another way, depending upon your registration requirements is to use the text tool with Print Tool.? For example, you can use this function to print a * or + around the corners outside of your print that function as registration marks.

Thanks Greg and Michael. I will go back to creating them in PS. I just thought there might be a simple way to do it in PT that I wasn’t finding.

Michael, you mentioned printing uv blocking borders in PS. I use to do this and it worked great for my platinum/palladium printing. For some reason this no longer works. By not working I mean that the borders no longer seem to block the uv enough to achieve a clean border even though I can achieve a paper white within the image. I have not been able to figure out why.

Larry, I will there was a magic bullet that would fix your problem. ?Since it worked once for you and no longer does, obviously something has changed. ?And I am sure you have probably racked your brains trying to figure out what! ?Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.
