Group Transfer from Yahoo to groups.io
Chuck Carpenter
Rex has created the QRpmeKits group to replace the Yahoo group.? Yahoo has stated that all Yahoo groups are now closed to new input.? Also that sometime in the future they will go away.
Note that all files are transferred but not Messages or Photos.? I've seen others offering to capture those but don't remember where. Enjoy the new Group, I've found groups.io much easier to work with than Yahoo! |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Chuck/All,I ran the Group retrieve system that Yahoo offered and received all messages, files and links for most of all the groups I was subscribed to. I have the full gambit of QRPme files. It came to me in a zip file. If interested, I can send them along intact or just the zips of msgs. The Zip file for those are 2.5 MB. It seems to have all msgs since Rex's greeting msg. Please let me know who or if to proceed, Be well... -- 73/72 . . Bob de k2ki k2ki@... k2ki.bb@... ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOh... I should have added that the files I received was on 1/29/20 so anything since is not included.-- 73/72 . . Bob de k2ki k2ki@... k2ki.bb@... (Goes to my cell) FP #4214 SKCC #12195 NAQCC #2337 On 3/5/2020 7:18 AM, Chuck Carpenter

Chuck: You might check with Rick,? DJ0IP on the transfer. He has transferred several Yahoo groups to Groups.io, including messages , etc. Dick, N4UN On Thu, Mar 5, 2020 at 6:24 AM Chuck Carpenter <w5usj@...> wrote: Rex has created the QRpmeKits group to replace the Yahoo group.? ?Chuck, if you or anyone got the Yahoo zip file they offered of all your groups then you or Rex might look at PGOffline: then PDOffline I think can take the MBox file of messages and import it into Groups.io.? Same thing for files and photos but it can't and could not do attachments so any message that had an inserted or attached picture would not have the attachment.? As I recall, it did keep the descriptions that were with files.? I am not sure how it handles the "owner" of the file if they did not come over to Groups.io.? I think it makes the group owner the file owner and that is what will happen if Rex copies the files section content into this group but I can't see that as a problem. I know a lot of admins used it to import yahoo group content over to groups.io when everyone was moving. Good luck. Jim Pruitt WA7DUY |

Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the feedback. Rex is on his way back from FLA and will be home tmw morning. Because he has several things going with the move I'd rather wait until he as a chance to check things out. What ever he needs, I think there is plenty of help... ;-) Chuck, W5USJ (ex K2OFN) ARCI 5422, SKCC 19956 EM22cv, Rains Co., Texas -- Chuck, W5USJ |

Hi QRP-ers,Is this the same site that sold the tuna kits?
The kits I purchased went to G$KKI (SK) and I never got around to buying kits for myself due to the passing of Diane then 10 months later I lost my Daughter. .
Is there a place on the web where I can view these kits?
Anyway I wanted one called the tornado and the other were?2 kits? RX & TX.
I also need a builder since I have A-fib and COPD and want to avoid breathing in smoke and vapors.
Maybe some of you have a built kit for sale?
Thank you
BOB AF2DX? (getting old?

Hi Bob,
This is the group for QRPme.Com?, the home of the Tuna Can Kits and a lot more. I think you may be looking for the Lil Squall that's the QRPme version of the Tiny Tornado and many others derived from the original Pixie. The others might be the Sudden Storm][ RX And the Super Tuna ][ TX Same Stuff; a new home...Sa,e -- Chuck, W5USJ |
