12AL8 Transmitter
Rex, Here's what those tubes were for... Attached is the circuit of the 12AL8 I built as a potential kit for the 2017 BuildAthon. It works but very little RF output. Chuck, W5USJ (ex K2OFN) ARCI

Gangue, I can't keep every kit on the New Stuff links or even the HOT Links sections forever as it will just get as long as the index to ALL my kits. I just printed the entire list out last night and

Re: Sea Sprite and Lil Squall
Curt, it's all your fault, I'm blaming you! I just placed an order for a Sea Sprite. I should get the Lil' Squall going in the mean time until the Sprite turns up. 73, Colin

Re: Sea Sprite and Lil Squall
Like the Sea Sprite because of the more open layout than the Lil Squall.? I have no BCI with either of them.? Installed a trimmer in place of the 22pF xcl so can tune around about 3 kHz.? Bought

Re: Sea Sprite and Lil Squall
To me, the Sea Sprite was a better kit.? That was my first attempt to use a band-pass filter for the front end.? Mostly to minimize the BCI rather than use a high pass filter. It seemed to work but

I had forgotten about the Sea Sprite, the kit is not easy to find on the QRPme website, it seems that you can only find it on the long list on the left hand side. I tend to use the filters to get to

The Kantronics Rockhound is a neat little simple rig. I used one with a Hammarlund HQ170 while in college...and I had a blast. The combo was quite good, even with only a 7040 and 7112

On The Air -- Jones-Style Push-Pull 12AU7 Tx
I've been working on a project using hollow-state technology mixed with modern building a dual triode 1935 Jones Style transmitter. I hooked up one of the two, using a 12AU7, in the setup shown. A
