Re: Sprite on 20M and Hum
The shack supply I used was an MFJ-4125 switcher. I will try the SEC1235M and see how that sounds. As mentioned, all of my Pixies ( none are ¡°original¡±), sound the same. I will run some more

Re: Sprite on 20M and Hum
Curt, I don't have a Sprite on hand just now but will soon. I do have an original Pixie and I'll see how that behaves with my LM-317 most used supply and other rig power supplies; an old Kenwood

The PS noise is essentially 60 hz hum.? What is strange is the Pixie(s) are the only ones that exhibit this here.? The Rockmites all tolerate power from the shack supply quite well.? All of the

Re: Sprite on 20M
Curt, Good job on the 20m Sprite, trimmer for the series section and the 5109. Can you determine the approximate frequency of the noise? If so you can notch it out. Otherwise a brute force

Sprite on 20M
I have Sprite on 20M and using a trimmer on FL4 to allow peaking output.? Also using a 2N5109 for PA.? Rigged a battery to supply 13.8 V, the shack supply causes too much noise (any suggestions?).?

Re: Sea Sprite and Lil Squall BPF v2 Plus
Curt, Here's the wider 2.5 MHz band pass values intended. Emacs! You seem to have the 2.5 MHz BW filter values. This is the filter for 20m Emacs! These values look like RF Chokes parts, they aren't

Gangue, The MAIN difference between VER.1 & VER.2 is the added trimmer cap in the OFFSET section to allow loading a crystal to change its frequency in the receive mode. In the KEYING section the

Curt, Missed this one... I'm still confused by those FLxx markings, The board was revised but I didn't get the v2 board or artwork. The v2 manual v1 board was patched to look like the v2. I didn't

12AL8 Transmitter
Rex, Here's what those tubes were for... Attached is the circuit of the 12AL8 I built as a potential kit for the 2017 BuildAthon. It works but very little RF output. Chuck, W5USJ (ex K2OFN) ARCI 5422,
