Re: Friday
Occasionally some message is sent to my spam folder.? Guess which message was misdirected this week? This doesn't happen often.

Re: Free to good home: Unistrut material. 4 pieces each about 10 ft long. They are H E A V Y
Hi Joy, use #5 for those unistrut is a launch guide system for really big rockets!? Like 10 inch diameter and 40000++ Newton seconds impulse.? If they don't find a home I'll ask around.? Cliff K6CLS On December 1, 2024 1:39:23 PM PST, "Joy Rabins via groups.io" <doghouse3@...> wrote:

?
4 each 10 feet long,? 1 & 5/8 x 1 & 5/8 HEAVY Unistrut material.? It was sourced from a solar panel operation where they used it as part of the roof rack for solar panels. When I worked in radiology this type of Unistrut was used on the ceiling to hold thousands of pounds of X-ray equipment. I did a google search to see some typical uses around the home may be.
These pieces are H E A V Y. We can bring them down to Baylands for you to pickup when we are doing ops on a Friday or we can make other arrangements for pick up.? Joy N6GO ? |

Re: Baylands tomorrow?
开云体育I like our new friends Aaron and Isaac “tiring out” Dave’s KX3. ?They must have really gotten into operating QRP in the field, more than simply “trying out” Dave’s radio.Aaron has already applied to join our club and I said yes. Hiroki AH6CY? than simply “trying out”? On Nov 30, 2024, at 13:48, David W Crocker via groups.io <dwcae@...> wrote:

Re: Baylands tomorrow?
I made 4 contacts on 10. Japan with our friend Masa (JA1LET), a Russian on Sakhalin Island, an Air Force base in Alaska and ex-pat on the side of a volcano in Costa Rica. I heard stations in Finland, New Zealand and Australia but too much competition from stateside to be heard.? Aaron and his son Isaac tired out my KX3. I encouraged him to send a request to QRPops. They live in Belmont and are members of the San Mateo club where they heard Hiroki's talk on loop antennas. The weather tuned out to be windless and cool, with some sun. I will miss next week as I have a company reunion.? Dave W6VYC

New DX from Buddipole Hex
On November 26 at the home QTH I had a qso on 10m ssb with HD8CW who was on a dxpedition in the Galapagos Islands that was sponsored by Buddipole. He was using an IC 7300 running 100 watts to a Buddipole Hexbeam and working the world……huge pile-up and all paid for by our friends at Buddipole. Hey guys there are some possibilities here. Think of an all expenses paid dx adventure to some beautiful tropical island in the far Marquesas with minimal equipment to shlep. I’m thinking of our more intrepid colleagues(are you listening Dave C, Paul Z, Hiroki?). Something to ponder perhaps.
