David Wilcox K8WPE All Messages By This Member #76839 开云体育 Nothing on my workbench. ?Biggest issue is what to take for three months on our annual trip south to get emergency treatment for acute vitamin D deficiency and Seasonal Affective Disorder. ? Need to smell the Soldersmoke and build a couple of QRP CW xcvrs while there and then write an article for our club paper to stimulate a few “textbook Extras” to build something when we come back in the spring. ?Many of them can’t even install a PL 259 or an Anderson Power Pole. ?I am leaning towards the Cricket 80 due to its low cost and no toroids to wind. ?Then maybe we can get an 80 meter club CW net going (very doubtful). But just to say they had built an xcvr and maybe even hang it on the wall as proof. ?Ha! Dave K8WPE David J. I'm intrigued by the "nano WSPR" transmitter article that uses the small Arduino board and Si5351 synth board of which I have both. Of course I'll be using QRP Labs LPF of which I have several spares. It'll be fun to poke around in the code. --Al WD4AH

Neil Goldstein All Messages By This Member #76853 At the new home I have four workbenches. Two are off-duty for the winter now as they are in the garages.? Former owner was an amateur gunsmith, so the work areas are well suited to my needs as well. My main workshop has a recently finished QDX, plus a pixie project I was working on for the W2LCW club (I teach a makers class for them every Wed night). Not sure what to build next, but it will probably be the QRPguys digital transceiver, followed by a classic QCX that I have from an early run.? I have at least 40 other unbuilt kits waiting for attention. All of that is surrounded by my computer work (MacBook, and a Dell OptiPlex, and whatever I'm repairing), network switch, VOIP adapter, soldering station, 3D printer, and too many kits and components waiting to be organized into the cabinets I have yet to fill up. Second workbench is in the utility room, and currently has the XYL's (KD2CHE) cat-toxic plants under a grow lite to keep the felines safe, and a partially dissembled Casio Privia digital piano that needs mechanical rebuilding.? Some keys stick, others fail. Third (Cold) workbench has my backup HF rig (TS-440SAT) and a few VHF/UHF rigs, and a HW-5400 that I'm trying out.? Also an MFJ tuner that needs some work, and several accessories: filters, transverters, and other goodies. Fourth workbench is piled with sewing and household goods for now, but looking to make it a woodworking area in the Spring. I can't complain. Lots to keep me busy over the Winter. --Neil, W2DNG

I have a qrpguys power/swr/Dummy Load on the way; and I have a transciever kit sitting there that was given to me.? All just waiting for me to tell myself yes.
