v2.02 released

Thanks for waiting patiently. The new v2.02a version is now officially released. Many thanks to Andy G0FTD, Eddie G3ZJO and Keith G6NHU who beta-tested the new version. The final version is v2.02a which is only slightly different from the v2.02 discussed before.?

The list of fixes and features is here:??

Most notable features are:
- Full accurate operation up to 10m and higher
- GPS interface is similar now to the U1
- Support for WSPR-15, and support for a wideband fast FSK mode
- No set-to-zero when changing FSK, makes the DDS output purity much cleaner

v2.02 is known to work with the Adafruit GPS module and the Rayax 501 module. Eddie still has trouble with it working with his Trimble and I have made a note of this on the web page. I will work with Eddie to resolve those problems and perhaps incorporate into the next version. In the mean time, I did not want to delay everyone else who is waiting for v2.02 features so decided to go ahead anyway.?

You can order the new version in the shop??or as I mentioned before, if you feel you should be entitled to a free upgrade then please email me.?

I recommend v2.02a be rapidly installed in all v2.01 U2's.
It really is good. The improvements in spectral purity are outstanding and some of the operating convenience improvements well worth while.
I have tested WSPR15 successfully on 474kHz with reports down to -40dB .
I am sure no one would want to still run v2.01 once they have compared the results.

As Hans says there is still the issue with the Trimble GPS which worked fine on v2.01, so the rule for the moment is, don't go for the Trimble if you have got to get a GPS, if you don't want to run a GPS then v2.02a is the bees knees.

Hans has done absolutely brilliant work on this version, and it stands
head and shoulder above anything I've seen so far.
