Upgrading the firmware on a QCX (Question for QRP-Labs and Simon VK3ELH)

Folks,

I just finished upgrading the firmware in an early QCX40.? I started by using a procedure pointed to by the QRP-Labs web site written by Simon (VK3ELH).? I had some issues with the procedure that I managed to work through.? As a result, I documented what I did based on Simon's procedure.

I would like to publish this on my blog.? But I need to find Simon to make sure it is OK with him, and check with QRP-Labs to make sure they are OK with this.

Question 1:? Could Simon (VK3ELH) contact me off-list about this?
Question 2:? Could someone from QRP-Labs contact me off-list, too?

Thanks,
Mike Dooley

Mike,

This happens, Simon's procedures were put on the QRP Labs page, later several times discussed in length but never updated to address the problems discussed.

Several others wrote updated descriptions but they are not linked anywhere except in (very) old posts. I could point you to mine:-)

Maybe Simon will reply, I usually just rely on a link to the original if I am commenting on something.

Alan,

Thanks for the reply.? I do have Simon's procedure linked in mine as the source.? I just wanted to make sure I did not step on too many toes by publishing mine.

Thanks very much!
