U4B usb micro connector?

 

Hello, I just received a U4B Tracker.? I do not see a port where a USB-mini cable can be connected. There is a metal box with a white plastic piece in the center (see photos). Is this a cover which should be removed?

Robert. that is the USB-B connector. The plastic inner piece?is part of it. Don't remove it. Ron
