SOTA and QMX SSB

I took my QMX to Mt. Porepunkah in North Eastern Victoria for some SOTA and worked another QMX on the North Island of New Zealand on 20m (ZL1HIM). Clear audio both ways.
Cheers?

Nice! QMX to QMX. That¡¯s cool.

Photo of the QMX working ZL from VK3.
I've put a bolt on battery box and speaker amplifier on the QMX.? It screws on to the extrusion where the end plate was.

Nice.? I have had my QMX out for several SOTAs this year.? Mostly work CW.? Here is my setup.

Nice setups. I enjoy seeing how others do it. Attached is my basic setup - from a POTA outing - but it all comes out of my backpack which I use for SOTA as well. I usually use an 84' EFRW w/ 17' counterpoise as an inverted V, but have a few other alternatives for treeless areas.

8xAA battery pack, nice. I have just build one and plan on using it soon.

Mostly CW here too, but I did a couple of Qs on SSB. Local, but I got good signal and audio reports on 10m.?

Does anyone know about any small manual (or auto if it works with qmx) tuners that can handle 70w? I am building a 3d printed case for my qmx, and an amp. I need a good light tuner.
