I'm curious are there HAMs in DL land depressed because a not working QMX (+)? I'm interested about the situation around here.

Hello Ludwig,
sorry, but I own 2 QMX, 1 QMX+ (and 1 QDX), and all 4 are running fine! ;-).

I have a QMX+ not working and a QCX with strange behavior both sitting on the shelf. I have an assembled QMX+ on order.
?
My modified Multiband QCX still works ( 80 to 15 m) and I have 2 QCX+ for 160 and 10 m but don't use them much.

2023 I bought a factory assembled QMX. I used it for some QSO without issues. A few days later when I tried to use it again it immediately started to send dits. I dit some investigation around the paddle and paddle jack which I desoldered eventually. All with no success.

In May 2024 I handed it over to Hans at FDIM Fairborn, OH. In June 2024 at Hamradio Friedrichshafen I checked the status with Hans.

I hope I will get it back at Hamradio 2025.

Ich habe QCX, QCX+, QMx, QMX+. Verwendet wird derzeit haupts?chlich der QMX (damit macht POTA Spa?, Berge gibt es hier nicht für SOTA), der QMX+ hat gerade einen Fehler (IC501/502/503), sieht wie selbstverschuldet aus, und ich warte auf Ersatzteile. Im QRP-Labs-Forum melde ich mich selten, da ich Probleme habe, englisch zu schreiben und Google-?bersetzungen im Hobby gew?hnungsbedürftig sind (Wenn der Schinken die Macht ergreift...). Im QRP-Forum DL schaue ich meistens rein, was gerade l?uft. Aber es wurde hier auch schon gesagt, eine M?glichkeit w?re, das QRP-Forum in DL zu testen, wenn man die gleichen Probleme hat. Ein "Reparaturservice" wird sich wahrscheinlich kaum finden lassen in DL. Aber man wei? ja nie. Und man kann ja eine Frage auch mal zweisprachig einstellen, es sind dort bestimmt auch nicht alle englisch-Muttersprachler.

Yes - really. My good working and self built QMX Rev. 1 worked great for one year SOTA activity and then it exploded on a summit and the holy smoke came out.?
On one SMPS board was the C exploded. New ordered boards were changed but there‘s a short circuit further on.?
I‘m not able to get deeper inside but I don‘t want to put it in the waste. Maybe there‘s someone who could help/repair (processor damaged?)?

Funny you should ask. LOL I boxed up my QMX and put it on the shelve. I'm now working on the QMX+. Hopefully with the bigger space to work in, I won't be so frustrated with these fat sausage fingers. Hi Hi. I think the L401 tap and the board could have been lined up a little better. By any chance, do you have a photo of L104 mounted? I'd like to see how someone else did it without it looking like a first grader installed it. Thanks Ludwig.
