QMX+ usb not found

 

After completing my QMX+ build, I powered on (went from zero power consumption to low). Putting usb connector between pc and rig, it is not recognized. Tried both Windows an Linux Mint. Already resoldered usb connector, but no change.?
Did also put AUX pads to ground to force FW update mode.?
Any ideas to breach the impasse?

Another builder was having the same problem recently.

Turns out he was using a USB cable that was only for charging. It did not support full USB functionality.

Also, make sure the QMX is powered off, the USB cable is connected at both ends and then power on the QMX.

Worth checking out??

What say dmesg under linux after plugin?
 

Check The USB cable actually a data cable. ? Many are charge only?

First cable I used was indeed charge only. After acknowledging that mistake a 2nd cable with data has been used, but obviously that was broken.?
After exchanging with other data cable problem was resolved ?

And onwards it went; playing around with the settings and am positively surprised up till now (which is an understatement ?).
