QMX Split

Is there a complete explanation of Split mode on the QMX? It is mentioned several times, but I'm not clear on how to enter/exit Split.

Randy,

It's a little goofy. You have to single click the right button twice
to get to Split mode. The first click activates VFO B, the second
click puts you into split mode. (Single click again to exit split mode
and activate VFO A). Keep in mind that some of the other things you
may wish to use with split, like A<>B (swap) don't work properly yet.
Once in split mode you rx on A and tx on B.

So, any time both VFO A and VFO B are displayed, the QMX is in split mode??? I don't see any other indication.

Hi Mike

According to the QCX documentation (QMX firmware inherited from it) you can swap VFO A and B by a long press on the right button. Is this not the case??

Hans,

Yes and no.

Yes, it does the swap. No, after you swap now try to change the VFO
with a single click on the right button. You get A->B instead of
change VFO. It seems that you state machine or latch for the A->B
command (long press followed by a short press) is getting confused. I
first documented this back in July.

Yes. When Vfo A and B are shown you are in split mode.
