Great work on the latest firmware release, your ability to envision a function and translate that into working code is amazing!

Now that the bulk of CW issues are resolved and majority of users satisfied, could you look into the digital modes issue where transmission stops abruptly. Functions that work very well in the current QDX and did work in QMX versions prior to V.007, such as Contestia and Olivia modes, and the TXID in FLDigi. MFSK and Thor modes work fine, except for TXID. These are essential modes for NBEMS HF comms.

If there are any details needed or tests to be performed i can certainly help.

Kevin,

I just tested 016 with FT8CN.
It used to stop transmitting after the first transmission (I heard of similar issues with fldigi).
But now it transmits on every second 15 second interval like it is supposed to!

What behavior are you seeing?

I did some more testing this afternoon and discovered that aforementioned modes in FLDigi do work fine if using VOX.

My prior testing was utilizing FLRig for CAT control and PTT. So the issue seems to be that the CAT PTT command is being cancelled within the QMX when the audio signal transitions from on to off to back on - with VOX turned off.

For example with Contestia 4/250 mode, in VOX, the QMX transmits for a split second then stops then transmits the remainder of the message.

Testing on Linux Mint 20.3? FLMsg 4.2.03 and FLRig 2.0.05.07

When using CAT PTT the QMX transmits for a split second then stops and does not resume transmit for the remainder of the message.

Now to test with FT8CN and AndFlmsg on Android device

Testing with FT8CN and AndFlmsg was successful.
Further testing with FLDigi and FLRig with QMX in VOX mode, The brief transmit burst then unkey continues, If i disable PTT in FLRig then the VOX PTT is successful and CAT frequency, Mode and RF gain is functional.

Conclusion: There appears to be a conflict between the VOX PTT and CAT PTT, even when VOX it turned off.

Also noticed that the "Minimum Cycles" setting ( in Main Menu/ Configuration/ Digi Interface ) keeps jumping around. It was set at 1 now it shows 131074
