QMX+ build: figuring things out? Maybe.

So, As time allows, I've been inspecting the board with a digital microscope -- much better than what I was using before, which was a cheap magnifier on an equally cheap soldering stand I got before I was even soldering things. But I Digress(?).

After inspecting the back pretty thoroughly, cleaning up what looked like it needed it, I finally thought to start inspecting the front.

L401's 0 leg had become detached from its joint.?

I don't know whether that's recent damage from all the handling of the board, or whether it's been like that almost from the beginning. Certainly, I would expect it to produce bad results, though whether or not it can be responsible for the symptoms I've been seeing in diagnostics, I'm still only guessing.

Anyway, I'm going to have to desolder L401 entirely and possibly rewind it. I do not think I'm quite dextrous enough to work the stub of leg 0 back into the hole and resolder it in place.

Progress? Maybe.

You can probably just solder it on top of the hole.

There's really not enough room. It's pretty crowded, and there are surface-mount caps right near it. I have thought about it, and might give it a second look when I come back to it.
