  • QCX+ style desktop enclosure option, 106 x 55 x 146mm
  • Band coverage 160-6m: 160, 80, 60, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12, 11, 10 and 6m
  • CR2032 battery backed up Real Time Clock
  • Optional internal GPS module with 2m coax and active patch antenna, rear panel SMA connector

That is awesome. Ordered but forgot to add the GPS module. Hans if you see this I've dropped a service ticket to see if one can be included but no worries if not.?

Couple of observations. The text on the store page seems to have been cut and paste from the QMX and refers to a 5 band transceiver quite a lot and the link to the GPS module is broken.?

Very excited though. I was about to order a new high band kit have messed up the first. This is better. Much better :)

Hans:

Wow, this is just plain "Christmas in May" here in Phoenix.? Thanks for the extra breathing room in the PLUS kit!? As well as
all of the bands !!

Thank You Hans!? Ordered mine yesterday!!

Congrats Hans, this is going to be a big hit.

Not to bring up a sore point, but I am wondering if the QMX+ is intended to replace the QSX.

Great news!?
I noted the assembly instruction PDF is there, but the firmware/operating instruction link doesn't work. I'm curious to see some sample RF sweeps on this new offering! :-)

Hello Scott

No, QMX+ is not intended to replace QSX. However the gap between QMX+ and QSX is not as wide as I'd like so probably QSK will have an increased specification.?

Hi Nate

I'm in Dayton Hamvention and it's hard to do everything remotely on my phone. The software version for 1_00_019 is written and ready. I will try to upload it to the website soon. The manual doesn't change much compared to 1_00_018, I just need to add the example sweeps for 160-6m. The assembly manual for QMX+ is already on the website as you've seen probably. So documentation and firmware is almost complete.

Just ordered the QMX+ kit and looking forward to the build. Hoping to get it to work unlike my first QMX build which is only working on Tx but not Rx. Looking at the pictures and manual so far, it looks spacious, plus I am counting on my experience from my previous build :).

Questions:

1st: Is there really a QLG3 GPS?? Will it be for sale separately?
2nd: Any clever 3rd party firmware contributors still working on a "simulated" PSK31 RX/TX?

I would love to retire my 600mW SoftRock RX/TX Ensemble for a QMX+, but CW and PSK31 have been my only modes for about 15 years, thanks to Tony Parks.

That said, my total admiration for the work Hans has done/is doing!? An all-band 5 watt CW rig for less than $150 (ok, less than $175 with the GPS).? The value is incredible.? There may be a QCX, 2 QCX-minis, and a QCX+ for sale in the near future.

Thank you Hans and I hope Dayton treats you well.

From the website ():

The "QMX+" (QRP?Labs Mulitmode Xcvr): a feature-packed, high performance, five-band (80, 60, 40, 30, 20m) 5W multi-mode transceiver kit, ...

Yet, here in this groups.io announcement:

QMX+ is a QMX plus:
  • .......
  • Band coverage 160-6m: 160, 80, 60, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12, 11, 10 and 6m

Is the absence of the new supported bands in the store description and order page simply a cut and paste omission, Hans? I'm too nervous about it to order, given that it's right below the RED text that must be acknowledged via the order checkbox. :(

The website has been updated as of late yesterday to reflect the fact its all band

Thanks, Danny, but I hit F5 in Firefox to refresh the page and the old description is still there below the red text and photos. I did not even access that page until today but it sounds "safe" to order, regardless.
