开云体育Beautiful work on the 3D printed case BUT: ?I was doing some testing with my QMX+ outside of the case and with any transmission the RFI interference caused problems that disappeared when I put it back into the case. ?You might want to cover the inside of the case with copper foil if you find you have problems. ?The metal factory case is metal for a reason.Be the REASON someone smiles today. Folks are using them to metallize 3D-printed waveguide components, shielding an HF radio enclosure should be easy.
Don't forget ventilation holes, plastic doesn't conduct heat like aluminum.

I still need to do some finishing touches on model based on notes frome this proto and finish a speaker box to accompany the enclosure.
After that files will be available for small fee to anyone interested. |

Power is low enough, all ground loops eliminated, usb isolated, single point grounding, coax cables cut to lenght to avoid any accidental resonace with used bands. Noise that i have are mostly the things everyone living in the city have and we cant help it.? ?
Good idea for anyone who is willing to try copper tape or similar just for the piece of mind. |
开云体育Corey,?It would just shut down. I would have to disconnect the power to get it to reset. ?In the case no problem. I was testing the RF power output on all bands. Just the normal cables connected between the rig and various RF output meters with a dummy load attached to it, morse key, battery and Drok voltage controller set at 11.9 v. In the case it seems to work as the manual says. Power out was between 4 w on 40 meters and 5 w on other bands. 6 w on 160 and 80 meters.? Be the REASON someone smiles today. Holiday season and family time slowed things a bit but i was able to finish speaker enclosure to acomaccompanie the main case for my qmx+. Amplifier module is TDA2030 and speaker is from old Compaq branded pc. Decent sound power and nice base for the size.
Selection of free files to print will be available this time tomorrow. |
