QDX Low Receive but Xmit fine with OSX

Thank you Nick. I saw that in some messages but didn¡¯t know how to get in and gain access to change it. I wanted to use the terminal program you suggested but getting there was a yeoman¡¯s feat.
?
I first had to install a number of programs to even install PuTTY for OSX. The first one was Xcode which was almost 30GB only to find out I didn¡¯t really need to. I really only needed to download Developer Tools for Xcode, then something called Quartz and then one called Maxports. Then it was just a matter of launching the PuTTY desktop icon on the Mac, fill in the proper blanks on the GUI (Quartz provided this for PuTTY) and away it went. There is a step by step tutorial on how to install PuTTY for OSX -

I raised every band to 70 from 54 and although it's still near the bottom of the range (about 1/3 scale) it's much much better.
I¡¯m sure folks a lot more familiar with using a Terminal program to make all kind of changes, would have breezed right through this. You pointed me in the right direction which I really appreciated.

You may not have needed to install anything to get a terminal going.
There is a web based terminal utility for use under any chrome based browser (most of them).
As later posts state in that thread, you may need to set up permissions to access the USB ports.
?
Installing putty in the Linux sandbox on my Chromebook, it wants to download 0.001148 GBytes,
will consume 0.005609 GBytes of disk space once installed.
Putty has been around for nearly 30 years, I suspect it was under 100 KBytes back then.
Your 30 GBytes would have taken up between 30,000 and 300,000 floppy disks, depending on capacity.?

Hi Jerry thanks for your reply.
I can connect to my MacAir just fine via the Chrome Browser in Terminal mode as suggested in the msg you forwarded.
I¡¯ve got a screen that says ¡°CONNECTED¡± to the QDX via USB.
I¡¯ve downloaded the most recent firmware for QDX and have it on a flash drive but now what do I do? I¡¯m really way over my head at this point. Don¡¯t know the syntax for entering that file in the QDX with Terminal and over riding the earlier one.
For a PC it's easy I guess with simply dragging the firmware file into some directory in File Manager but this is a MacAir.
I haven¡¯t seen anyone doing this on a MAC.

Not familiar with the Mac.
The firmware update should not involve the terminal.
You copy the firmware file over to your rig as if it were a flash drive.
Read the section on the firmware update procedure in the operating manual.
