QDX High Band - Noise around the tuned frequency #qdx #troubleshooting

Hello,

? I have a pre-built QDX transceiver, built for the high bands at 9v.? Trouble is that in WSJT-X it shows a constant spike of noise just off the tuned frequency, no matter the band I select.? I have tried moving the radio, no effect so it's not localized noise.? The noise is there on AC power and battery, so it's not the power supply, and it appears on multiple computers so I'm sure it's not the computer.? Attached is a screen shot of the issue.? At this point I'm 90% sure the issue is with the transceiver itself.??? Anyone have any ideas?
??

Thank you,

Hi Jacob

It's not the radio. It's the WSJT-X configuration. Look for a checkbox below the waterfall called "Flatten" and un-check it. Flatten is a WSJT-X feature to flatten the passband of radios having imperfectly flat passbands. It is not needed on QMX which is perfectly flat already.?

Hi Hans,
? Thank you!? That fixes the signal I thought I was getting.? It's been driving me a bit nuts.? I guess I should have messed with the software a bit more before jumping to the conclusion that I was having a hardware issue.? Again, thank you.
