Jim Sheldon All Messages By This Member #20000 Privet Oleg, I just checked and have no noise with the antenna disconnected. ?I looked from 7000.0 to 7100.0 and did not find any extra noises. ?But, I have my QCX40 in a shielded case so you may be picking up from a power supply or computer close to the rig. Al Holt All Messages By This Member #20001 My QCX-40 is not in a case; I checked the frequency in question with antenna connected and did not hear anything other than the normal hiss of background noise. --Al WD4AH

It turned out an interesting feature - the frequency of the noise depends on the state of the decoder cw RX on TX on - 7017.8 RX off TX on - 7016.3 RX off TX off - 7023.2 also depends Batt show on or off... I use HBJ 12680 battery (idk contains or not it dc converter for power out) Oleg RN4HGS
