Hi?
I just received the progrock and I installed the drivers on Win 10 and the usb does not see the progrock.? It is running a little warm and I put the scope on it and no output.

Tried to use putty, but without it being?recognized.? I am wondering if the progrock is DOA?

Update:? ?The prog rock is working. 10MHz output at roughly 4vpp. Still cannot get the pc to see it so I can program it.

Device Manager does not even show an "Unknown Device"when you plug it in?
Try other USB leads, all USB ports, another computer.

The 10 MHz signal you're seeing is the default that's programmed into Bank 0.? To program the ProgRock2 you must use a fully wired USB cable that's meant for data transfers.? You can't use a USB cable that's meant for only charging a device.? That's most likely the cause here.

Back at it again.? Three different USB cables, which work with other devices with two different computers.? Still no go,? This is the only item purchased from QRP Labs that I have had an issue with.? All the other items are fantastic.

Is it still an error on my part or a typical Windows issue?? Not sure..??

I had trouble getting my ProgRock2 to show up under the Windows 10 Device Manager recently.? Turned out that I was using a USB cable designed for charging only (no data).? After changing to a good data-capable cable, a new serial port showed up in the ports list on Device Manager and I was able to connect with Putty at 9600 baud.

I went through multiple USB cables as well, until I landed on the right one.? Most of the USB cables that come with devices these days are not wired for data transfer -- they're wired for charging only.??

Can not reach ProgRock2?

Try turning down bluetooth first

sometimes it create conflicts on com ports
