Has anyone else experiened this quite loud noise with their QMX? It is using the latest software and I am using it with a 12 Vdc 1.5 Amp switch mode power supply.

Yes, on my QMX and my QMX+. "Loud" probably depends on headphone impedance.? I never paid attention to it until trying the QMX+ last week with a powered speaker, where the pop was more noticeable. I consider it natural behavior, not a flaw.

I get the same noise from my 2 month old QMX+ and also from my 3 year old QCX+.? (Interestingly enough, it has not been an issue with my QDX)

I think it's a feature, not a bug... ;-)? You learn to power up before you insert the ear buds, then remove them?before you power off!
