Just for Fun !

My 40m QCX old style running on a single, recycled, Vape Battery.
Hows that? - Not out !

Ah, I wonder where the picture went.
Ok, a single Li-Po 500mAH recycled vape battery happily running a QCX original
for 30 mins without any TX, Not tried for long but it also does TX but not
sure for how long.
The boost board is cheap as chips from AliExpress - search for DC-DC Automatic
Buck Boost Power Module. Its 3v - 15v input and 12v @ 600mA output in a tiny
18mm x 14mm pcb., small enoufh to fit a sensible Li-Po and the boost board
inide the QCX case for ultimate portability.

trying to post the picture again... fingers crossed

Nice battery trick. How did you manage to solder leads to the battery terminals? I gave up and figured I needed one of those spot welder gizmos.?

Also, very nice case! What's the source or did you make it yourself? I'm interested in these things because I have an unassembled QCX kit that was gifted to me and plan to put it together this winter when I have time.

The QCX discussion group isn't very active nowadays, so posts like yours really catch my attention. Thanks.
