Has anyone had experience with QMX + iFTX with the virtual USB port? The costs that apply US$ 1.99 are annual or monthly, I can't find this thread on my iPhone 72 Luis

Hi Luis -?
?
I've used iFTX with my QMX using a USB-C to USB-C cable. Haven't made a video on it yet, but it works like a champ. Just requires setting a few threshold values correctly for Vox. Worth the $1.99 ;)

It's a 1-time $1.99.
And what virtual USB port are you talking about?
The app gives 3 choices
#1 Hold the? phone up to the radio (yuck!) #2 Build a custom cable to hook up audio to your headset jack #3 Use a Digilink Nano or Signalink and a USB adapter for your IPad or IPhone and make sure it can provide enough current to power the Digilink/Signalink

All you need are USB A to C cable and an Iphone camera adapter. Works well with my QMX (not plus). Also have used it with a trusdx, USB audio adapter and iphone camera adapter and also?a QCX/USDX.?VOX is required if all cases.?

Just be aware that iFTX (at least as of 4 to 5 months ago) does not work quite like the FT8 developers designed WSJT. You may like it, I found it frustrating operationally.

Others already pointed you to the right adaptors.
?
I'll add that I often use iFTx with an iPhone and it works well, with a caveat: Apple places artificial limitations on the iPhone and it won't do CAT control.
?
To get PTT working, you set the QMX to "VOX" as was pointed out earlier in this discussion. You may have to tweak some threshold values on the QMX to make this work smoothly.
?
Further, since there's no CAT control, you have to manually select the band in the iFTx app, and set the band/frequency on the QMX. (e.g.: you set iFTx to 20m band, manually change the QMX to "14.074MHz", the standard 20m FT8 frequency) You can make this less cumbersome by saving all the FT8 and FT4 standard frequencies as on the QMX and just toggling between them.
?
Note that you don't have to adjust this when you change the transmit tone. The app will adjust the tone to whatever you've set (say, "1500Hz"), similar to operating in "Fake It" mode in WSJT-x instead of full "Split" mode.

Today I received the iPhone to camera adapter but the connection with the QMX has not worked. It is as if the application does not recognize the USB port, enable vox but since there is no connection to the phone there is no activity. If you listen to the ft8 through the iPhone microphone, I tested it with a USB audio card and the camera adapter and it works fine. I don't know if there is something I'm doing wrong? greetings Luis

It worked perfectly, I just had to reset the cell phone to take the hardware changes. In QMX it activates the ptt but in the Xiegu x6100 it doesn't because it doesn't have vox!! 73 Luis?

I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of my QMX+ and assume this should also work on the + model.?
If no one can confirm this I will do so in about a month.?
