I hate to complain....BUT!

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Dear Members,

?

I hate to complain but on this board I see numerous messages about folks not getting their WSPR to DECODE.? Down on the QRSS segment

Of the band we are getting numerous WSPR transmissions all over our little 200Hz of the band.?? I know that someone is just waiting to see

Their little WSPR transmissions to be recognized.? It isn¡¯t going to happen if your transmitting in the QRSS segment because no one down

There can decode you.? Come on guys, move up to your little segment of the band and we will try to stay in ours!?? The following screenshot

Says it all!.?? (Flame suit on and ZIPPED!)

?

?

Take card and have fun.? QRSS is a BLAST, even at mW¡¯s!

Hello Dave.

I suggest you decode the WSRP transmissions and send the operators an email indicating their off-frequency transmissions.

Cheers,

Regarding WSPR in the QRSS sub band...

It's kind of ironic, but Hans's kits started life as QRSS mode stuff, and yet I doubt 90% of
the purchasers these days even know what the mode is ;-)

Wasn't the original group or business called QRSS Labs, before the name QRP Labs replaced it ?

Of course, there is another ironic twist here.

I actually bought my original Ultimate 1 for the WSPR stuff, but upon reading up on the product
spec decided that this QRSS stuff is actually far more interesting to me.

I instantly became a QRSS fan, and? never regretted it.

It's Hans's fault ! ;-)

Thanks Andy,??
I am much more fond of QRSS than WSPR but I do both.? QRSS gives you all the information while WSPR just gives you a signal strength number.
Lately there have been a lot of WSPR showing up in our QRSS corner of the world. At least in the US.? Not sure how it is in your world.
Take care and have fun. Maybe we will get some more folks from this to come down and visit.?? Squeaky Wheel gets the grease, Maybe?

Dear JT
Probably not.? But there are a lot of them who are not on a dummy load.? But are on the wrong frequency with WSPR.
Those are the ones I am trying to reach.?? Take care and have fun. 73 Dave WA5DJJ

Dear Ron,
I was trying to get them to recognize the error of their ways.? If they are not appearing on the WSPR page there must be something wrong.??
I know that I could tune a receiver down there with WSPR program running and decode them and then publish their calls on a WALL OF SHAME.
But, I really don't want to alienate anyone from operating on these modes.? I would rather it be a exercise in SELF DISCOVERY.?? If your transmitting
WSPR almost anywhere in the world on most of the Amateur bands and are not received and posted to WSPR.NET.?? You have something WRONG
on your end.? I was really trying to point out that operating on top of those BEAUTIFUL QRSS signals was becoming annoying and was probably
the reason that they were not being displayed on WSPR.NET.??It is like a suttle hint with a?SLEGE HAMMER.??
Thanks for the reply.?? Take care and have fun.?? 73 Dave WA5DJJ

Dave,

The website is WSPRNET.ORG not WSPR.NET.

Hello David,

You are quite right there is something wrong - and they would very much like to be decoded, rather than not :-)
I have come across this at 6m, 4m & 2m from time to time.
My solution is to change the WSPR base frequency to decode them and let them discover they are off frequency on the WSPR site.
Hopefully they will look at their decodes on the website (and there is probably only mine !) and discover the reason they are not being decoded (I don't know how to find out their emails, which would be better).
It is easy to make a mistake and the sooner one is aware of it then a correction can be made - if there is no information, nothing will happen.
